LG, Great Prices, Special Quality.

Advantages: Flat, Good Colour contrast, 1024x768 at 69/85hz, good price.
Disadvantages: Slightly concave to begin with.

When you think about LG Electronics you think about high quality products. Much like Hitachi, however the difference is that LG products are usually cheaper and generally better value for money. The LG Flatron 775FT isn't a new monitor, however after using it for six months I have been nothing but impressed by it. At first the monitor produces a somewhat concave image however the manual warns you about this and states that 'though continued usage ...
...doesn't lie and today I don't notice it at all. The Flatron is flat (duh...) and looks a look like a Sony Vega TV (apart from being light-grey' and 17's) but the image quality is superb and games and DVDs look the part on it. Although the image quality isn't as good as monitors from Sony featuring the Trinitron tube, this monitor doesn't cost a fortune. You can pick it up from MicroDirect for £170.38. The colour contrast good apart from always ...

LG's Flatron 775FT 17" Monitor

Advantages: Perfectly Flat, Bright screen with Great contrast.
Disadvantages: Low refresh rate at 1280x1024.

I purchased this monitor some time ago, and have been extremely pleased with it ever since. >Value< LG's Flatron technology is extremely good, and easily sets itself apart from much of the competition in this price range. I picked up the monitor for £135, new, on ebay, when it was currently retailing for £150-£200 elsewhere online. >Ergonomics/Display Quality< For a mid-to-low end 17" screen, this monitor features a great display. Having used ...
...the difference. The brightness and contrast are excellent (the first monitor I have owned that can be used comfortably at 2/3 brightness). Colours are vivid and true, and due to the Flatron techonology (which provides a completely flat screen inside as well as out) there is no distortion of the displayed image. The most significant quality that I noticed was the great visibility even in bright ambient lighting. LG's anti-glare coating is very effective, ...

Exchange the old for the new

Advantages: Cheap, value for money, looks great
Disadvantages: its a bit big, a bit fiddly getting the creen adjustments right

...What a bargain. This LG Flatron 775FT is an inexpensive monitor but the image quality is as good as more expensive monitors. The screen is as flat as it gets to the extent it looks concave until you become accustomed to it. Much better than any curved screen in my opinion. My only complaint was the geometry was mis~ adjusted out of the box and it was very fiddly to get just right, but it is now excellent... recommended Rock on. ...
