Advantages: Good picture quality, Very reliable monitor Disadvantages: Bulky CRT compared to todays modern TFT displays
I've owned two of these now on my last 2 PC systems.
Both times a 19" version and I've never had a problem with either.
A great choice of displays up to 1600x1200 if your graphics card allows. Simple adjustment controls allow for quick easy changes to brightness, contrast etc.
I can't really fault this monitor I've always been impressed with the display quality and I do particularly like a 19" screen as an avid game player.
I would imagine, as ... ...could pick up a bargain.
If there is a downside it is of course the size and weight of CRT type monitors which are now becoming rapidly replaced by the lightweight LCD TFT displays.
But if you play games on your PC always remember that currently LCD TFT displays cannot currently match the maximum resolutions that CRT monitors can reach. LCD's can normally offer up to 1024 x 768 whilst as I have previously mentioned this can achieve 1600x1200. And ...
