...with the picture after phone lg i was told to turn off the true motion as it not really for films more for sport ..how ever you can have it on low and its not as bad ..with true motion on the picture look almost to sharp and the flow does not seem to good but with it off i found the picture for me better and the the picture is great on this with lots of options ..ie sport game film vivid energy saving mode there are lots of options to play about ...

Generally a well made and easy to use television. Benefits form the usual LG user interface which is straight forward which allows setup in a matter of minutes. Standard digital TV image is good as any other but the set really comes alive in HD mode which is stunning. Connectivity is good with 2 HDMI inputs and provision for numerous other connections such as RGB components, VGA cables and SCART. The only down point is the quality of the blacks generated which are not as deep as some other LCDs and plasma. For the price however it is hard to beat. ...

Wow! This TV is more like a pc than a TV, It is packed full of fantastic features, it has an intelligent sensor that dims the screen when you are watching at night so that your eyes don't get sore and it is constantly changing the setting to optimise the picture quality. It has a built in freeview box, ^ different AV modes, 5.1 surround sound with clear voice for films, invisible speakers, 2 scarts, 3 HDMI and stacks more goodies. The question isn't if the 42LG5000 (or 42LG5020 in my case) ticks all the boxes! The question is if it delivers on what it promises. For 24p (bluray) playback I can only say that I have been unable to get smooth playback. A micro-stutter occurs approximately twice per second. This makes me wonder if really 120Hz, or any other 24Hz multiple is used? Then there is the UNDEFEATABLE, ridiculous dimming feature, which presumably only exists to allow ...
