3 Stars I Love Cookies, But Not This One Review with images 18/05/2010

Advantages Advantages Good messaging, size and weight

Disadvantages Disadvantages Touch Screen and Camera

This review is for the mobile phone LG Cookie. Design My phone is actually purple in colour (only choice they had in an emergency) and you can get them in other sorts as well but the design is done with this screen which dominates the front part of the phone. On the base of the unit there are 3 buttons. The first button is to ring people with and this is highlighted in green when the phone is active, the middle button takes people to the main screen and menu and the final button it to end a call and to switch the mobile on and off as well. On the back are where the camera is located and the ... more

Advantages Advantages touchscreen, nice design, small and light, great battery life

Disadvantages Disadvantages touchscreen, need to be a ninja spider to text on the move, mundane features.

When someone mentions the word cookie, i'm still likely to consider it moreso a bakery product than a mobile phone, maybe an strange inuendo at a push but not generally a phone. So it was a little suprising when lg announced the nickname to their KP500 touch screen phone, however a name isn't eveything. So will this phone live up to maryland standard? or will it just end up sitting with the tesco value? (ok, i'll stop with the cookie stuff now, maybe). The first thing that strikes you when you first see the cookie is that how much it just wants you to think it's an iphone, but then you realise ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages None come to mind

--My Three For One Deal-- My three for one deal, came about because My mobile phone screen display had gone all distorted, there was no way I could continue to use it. To be honest I don't use my mobile phone all that much, mainly just for texting. It was about a year and a half ago that this happened, so I went searching for something to replace my old phone. I found my three for one deal on the "Carphone Warehouse" website. Along with the phone I wanted, I also got a contract and a "nintendo Wii". This was perfect and just at the right time as well. My husband desperatley needed to go on to ... more

    Advantages Advantages Qwerty keyboard

Disadvantages Disadvantages poor battery life, touch screen too sensitive

The LG cookie- one of those attractive looking phones, that you can only imagine the amount of things it could do. Where this phone may be an attractive little number, its features are rather poor. First Thoughts The phone arrived, and boy, was I excited?! I carefully removed the phone from its packaging, and got it all set up. So far so good...! However, as the night went on, I slowly began to realise that the phone I'd first considered to be a good choice, slowly began to fade away - I realised, I had made a terrible terrible mistake! What made me think this? The thought of having a qwerty ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, great price and value for money

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

I've never been fussy about what mobile phone I have. As long as I can make and receive calls and send and receive texts I'm happy. Up until around six months ago I was using an ancient Nokia, I can't even remember what model it was to be honest but it served me well as far as the two above functions go. I was made fun of quite a bit for my clunky, old handset which I'd had for years but I loved my phone and refused to buy a new one to replace it. Eventually the inevitable happened and it finally died on me after many years of use and many years of me dropping it, chucking it into my bag and ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Sometimes freezes, Sometimes crashes, Bad camera in the dark & Can unlock itself easily

Before i purchased this phone i had a phone off of ebay which i was quite pleased with. But it eventually broke and it was time for a new one. I had read multiple review on the LG cookie so i thought it was a bargain and i brought it from argos at the price of £110 and i also got a free £10 airmile voucher from orange. I was very happy with the purchase as it came fully equipped. A new sim card (as i brought it with orange) and it came with all the essentials with the phone. When i first turned it on i very quickly got the hang of how to use it. It's easy to use and it has lots of functions ... more

Advantages Advantages Sturdy, great functionality, value for money

Disadvantages Disadvantages Touch-screen can be slow at times

LG Cookie KP500 Introduction The LG Cookie KP500 is a touch-screen mobile phone launched in December 2008. The phone kept its cost as low as possible by elimanating Wi-Fi, 3G and GPS. Price The KP500 is of a relatively low cost for a touch-screen phone. The price can be as low as £50 now in certain stores, but when it first was released it cost around £110 which, yes, was double the price now, but back then, that was not a pricey phone for a touch-screen, which was typically costing at least over £150. Product By 'product' I mean the outside of the phone, the look and feel. The phone comes in ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages next to nothing battery life

I'm never to fussed what phone I get, as long as I can do the basics on it them I'm fine, which that must sound weird considering I'm 19, a lot of people around my age, have to have the latest phone on the market, but as long as I can text and ring with ease, then I'm fine with whatever I have, this were out for a few months and I was thinking about getting my first ever contract about 2 years ago now, my brother and his girlfriend both had one of these phones on contract and recommended it to me, The pink LG cookie on contract was cheaper than the black one, despite the black one looking ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to navigate around, battery is very quick to charge

Disadvantages Disadvantages Touch screen not sensitive enough, doesn't really do anything

The LG Cookie (KP500) at first seems to appear OK. I bought one a while ago now and when I got it I thought that it was brilliant for what I needed. It looked sleek and worked how I wanted it to. It is fairly small, much smaller than most smart phones are now. It has a very basic design with only a few buttons, 2 for volume, one for locking or unlocking the phone, a camera button and then 3 buttons below the screen for menu and answering or disconnecting calls. There are two slots externally on the phone, the first being for charging or to connect it to a computer, the other is for a Micro SD ... more

The lg cookie (KP500) is the poor mans iphone. When I felt it was time to get a new phone I thought I would look on the review sites, such as ciao and others and every site seemed to say about the lg cookie, so I scoured the net for the price and found it between £90 - £110, thought not too bad, but then on o2 it was £25 pounds a month on a 24 month contract (600 mins + unlimited texts + ps3). When I received the phone it came with a battery, charger, usb cable, software to put on the pc to drag and drop pictures, music, etc. also a plastic cover for the touch screen (which I am glad of as I ... more
