    Disadvantages Disadvantages None at all

I decided to treat myself to a brand new pay as you go mobile phone and I knew what I wanted and I knew that it was going to be on the orange network. The phone I am talking about is LG Viewty. The search began for the best possible price. I decided against getting the phone from Ebay as I wanted a brand new one which was boxed and never been open before. So why this model I chose this model purely because another family member has it and is always saying how good the phone is. I had borrowed it for a few days to see how good it really was and to be honest it's a phone that makes you go wow ... more

    Advantages Advantages The camera

Disadvantages Disadvantages The battery life if you need the internet all the time..

Here I am again writing about yet another mobile phone.. But rest assured I think this may be the last one for quite some time..! No actually let me rephrase this it will be the last one for 17-18 months.. As I have finally got myself a contract phone, a decent phone for so much less than I would have been paying in credit..! So I went into the t-mobile shop in Boston and had a gaunt around looking at the free phones I could have… The list was quite long and if you know me.. You know it takes ages for me to decide what I want, especially when I'm going to have it for a very long time.. The ... more

Advantages Advantages Decent sized phone, does calls and text messages adequately

Disadvantages Disadvantages Really doesn't live up to hype, LG support non-existent

Alarm bells should have been ringing. When I last upgraded my phone from a Nokia to the Sony Ericsson K800i (which had been on the market around a year at this stage), I had to haggle to get the handset cost down to what I thought was a reasonable price from well over £100. This time, the operator was offering a new phone, only on the market for six months, for £30. As the Viewty was something I had been considering as an upgrade, I took the offer without too much thought. I wish I hadn't bothered... Rather worryingly, when launched, the Viewty was LG's flagship phone, promised lots and yet it ... more

Advantages Advantages Sleek looking, Great Camera

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Battary Life

When I received a call to say that my mobile phone provider was offering me a upgrade I rushed down to the shop to take a look at what new toy I could get next, after much browsing and scratching of the head I decided upon the LG Viewty it seemed to fit all the functions I required in a mobile phone and looked stylish as well. Was I let down by falling for it's silky good look's or did I just buy a stairway to mobile heaven read on to find out. Phone As a phone for making call's the Viewty is great with a big touch screen display you can easily dial numbers or access the phonebook with ease, a ... more

Advantages Advantages Touch Screen, looks, build, functions/features.

Disadvantages Disadvantages No WiFi, no multitap on the Touch Screen.

The Viewty, such a strange name for a mobile handset. However don't be fooled by it's estranged name and looks. It is an amazing handset and i believe it to be this years must have gadget. I'm sure that most people will say "oh but what about Apples iphone?, that is much better!". Having not had the pleasure of using the iphone yet i'm sure it is a very nice handset but do i really want to pay £269 for the iphone and have a contract on a Service provider i don't like (o2). I had the Viewty free on Orange panther 45, which i believe is a very good deal. Lots of minutes (900) and unlimited ... more

5 Stars LG Viewty reviewed. iPhone killer? Nope. Review with images 24/11/2007
    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages QWERTY; touchscreen; powerful camera; 3G

Disadvantages Disadvantages QWERTY can't be used at all points in phone; poor stylus storage

I have recently got an LG Viewty (aka LG KU990), courtesy of Outside Line, to review and keep. The main features of this HSDPA (3G) mobile is the touchscreen and on-screen QWERTY keyboard. In addition to this, it boasts a 5MP camera with a proper flash and a low light setting up to ISO 800. The phone comes with a USB lead, headphones and charger. Dimensions and stylus: small and lipstick-like stylus The Viewty is fairly small, much smaller than my current XDA Exec, measuring roughly 105mm x 55mm x 15mm yet it still manages to boast a 3" screen! I'm guessing it's aimed at a female target ... more

Advantages Advantages Great camera, good ergonomic structure

Disadvantages Disadvantages Old technology, old phone

The LG Viewty was one of the very first phones to have a touch screen; it was also one of the very first phones to have changeable camera shots (for example, panorama, continuous etc.), the camera itself is 5 megapixels and is actually one of the best cameras I have used (on a phone). Even though the phone is over 2 years old now, it is still very good, however when you compare it to phones nowadays it doesn't stand out in the slightest. Which is why this review is more in recognition of what was (and still is) a great phone than to try and persuade you to buy it. This product with me I got ... more

Advantages Advantages Plenty of features included on the phone.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not much memory, poor battery life, touch screen stops working after a while.

Eighteen months ago I decided it was about time I'd replaced my mobile phone. My phone was old, rather bulky, and was not really that modern any more, but unfortunately I was stuck with it until my contract expired. Finally, my contract came to an end, and I was able to hunt around on Vodafone's website for the next phone which will be used with my renewed contract. I had friends who had previously purchased touch screen phones, with one in particular who had a LG KU990 Viewty. After a brief glimpse through the phones features, I decided that this was the phone I must get myself. From the ... more

Advantages Advantages Stylish And Practical - What More Could You Ask For........

Disadvantages Disadvantages Texting Can Be A Task.......

LG Viewty Lite I was bought this phone as a birthday present by my partner mid 2009 and have to say that until its unfortunate end (being run over by a car - don't ask) it served me really well and I absolutely adored it. Wantig a touch screen phone for a long time, you can imagine my delight when I unwrapped this on my birthday, first impressions - light, ''clean'' looking, smart and stylish. Now I am not very technical and will only be able to give you my version of the phone capabilities, I apologise. A clear 5mp camera with advanced options to 'tweak' your pictures using Smart Light which ... more
