Advantages: Looks good, compact design, modern finish Disadvantages: fairly small screen
I have had the LG Flatron L1510S for around 6 months now and use it on a daily basis at work. I use it for writing documents and also surfing the net and playing games and of course writing Ciao! reviews in my lunch breaks!
LOOKS
The monitor itself is a good looker in my opinion. It has a silver frame which is about an inch wide the whole way round the screen and the screen area measures roughly 37 cm diagonally and about 14 inches across the bottom ... ...which is a 17 inch screen and the LG1510S really doesn't seem that much smaller. Perhaps because on standard old style monitors the packaging around the screen is generally wider. EASE OF USE
The monitor is attached to the base using a swivel which enables you to arrange the monitor at the optimum eye level for you to avoid any any health and safety issues. Also great if you don't want all your colleagues seeing what you're doing!
It is also fairly ...

Advantages: Flatscreen Disadvantages: Maybe too small for some people
This flat TFT screen is what I have been using for my desktop for a few years now. It has withstood anything that has been thrown at it.. (literally) and works in perfect condition.
Advantage of course is that it is flat screen so takes up very little desk space. Integrated speakers at the bottom of the monitor make it save even more space if you don't want hi tech speakers. The screen itself is 15" diagonally which is big enough for my liking.
... ...x 768 at maximum which is definitely adequate for most work. The design of the monitor definitely suits my area well as it is silver which matches the base unit, speakers and 'Xp-pen' . Not had a single problem with this since i set it up for use. Minor problem setting it up as the cable linking it to the base unit is pugged in quite awkwardly at the bottom but nothing major, I'll know to plug that in first next time...
Definitely a great value ...

I got one of these last may in PC World to go with a Compaq tower unit. It cost me £229 and I think it was a great investment. My son plays computer games on it perfectly happily (Rayman 3, Age of Mythology, Rise of nations etc) and has never complained about the picture. I couldn't comment on how it would perform with any more complex games than these - but they look pretty complicated to me! It definitely runs video clips and so on with no problem ... ...it if I needed to.
I do alot of digital photography and often run slideshows for friends on this screen - and everyone always comments on what a nice screen it is and how good the pictures look. I also stare at it all day as I am a copywriter - so I'm sure I would notice if it was any less than a perfect picture!
Another reviewer commented that it did not look very good. I would disagree. It's no prettier or uglier than any other flat screen on ...

Advantages: Easy on the eye (in two ways) Disadvantages: Few... 17in flatscreens are more the norm now
I have owned the Flatron L1510S for 3 years, and have had no problems whatsoever. When we first got it, we were shocked at how nice it was to look at in comparison to our older monitor - no strain at all on the eyes, due to its flat screen. However, this has now been a bit taken for granted!
Another pro about this monitor (and indeed, most compact flatscreen monitors) is its lack of space needed. In our household this usually means more clutter ... ...deep, meaning your computer could take up little more room than a laptop, granting the space under the table for the minitower.
The monitor is adjustable vertically, so you can look at the screen at pretty much whatever angle is acceptable to you. However, there is no height adjustment, nor horizontal swivel; though the monitor is so light and small, it is really no trouble to turn the monitor, stand and all.
The menu on the monitor is easy to ...

A nice little monitor. Performance-wise it aint brilliant and it's not the most attractive one you would want on your desk, but the price more than makes up for that.
Not one for high performance gaming, but if you're only going to use it for desk-top working, then you can't go wrong!
I've seen much better quality products out there, but this little monitor can hold its ground. Picture quality is average, and colour quality could be better, but ...
