The LG Shine is probably one of the classiest phones on the market right now. The main draw to this phone is the sleek, elegant design - the slider being one of the best and most durable available on any phone. It has all the normal whistles and bells, such as the bluetooth, camera, and media player. One thing to note with regards to the bluetooth connectivity is the added security inbuilt in the phone - making it nigh on impossible for "snarfers" to hack into. I got the LG shine this Christmas it is a fantastic phone. It is a perfect size able to fit easily in your pocket. The model is very attractive not bulky but also not thin. I got my phone from Tesco at the reasonable price of £44.97 when bought with a £10 Tesco mobile top-up or £69.97 on its own. I recently took out the LG Shine on contract. When i recieved the phone i was firstly really impressed with the way it looked. It was light weight, thin and had the sliding feature which i love in a phone. I also really liked the scroller which i thought was really original. When i switched it on i found it was really easy to use and fell in love instantly. When i went to send my first text message i found that the keys stick a little bit and they dont always work which is a bit infuriating especially if you really need to send a text. I dont own this phone, but my boyfriend used to, and the very reason he got rid of it, because simply it was a waste of time. If your planning on getting a phone that just looks fancy but hardly does anything, and the performance of the phone is a bit dodgy then go for this one, because it does nothing but look just a little bit \'cool\' The phone froze at least once every week, and it wasnt just his, two of my friends have got the phone, and they found that it froze alot, and its not exactly because it has alot of its memory used up, because my boyfriend hardly used it, and only had about 3 ... more

Disadvantages 3G version comes without the memory card

First of all I have the LG U970 version of the Shine. The only difference between this and the KE 970 are that this is 3G and doesn't come with a memory card (it has 575mb internal memory). This is my third LG phone and so those of you Nokia / Motorola lovers don't be afraid to try something new. This LG is a vast improvement on the earlier LG phones i.e. U8110 which I found had terrible reception. The U880 somewhat restored my faith in LG as a phone manufacturer and so when I saw the Shine I wasn't put off just because it was an LG phone. I first purchased my LG shine the day it come out, i think it is a very stylish phone and has a stainless steal case which makes it look stylish with its silver but also very stong and robust protecting the phone from any drops or anything like that.The LCD mirror is a very cool feature of the phone which is very helpful to vein people such as myself lol. The camera on the phone takes extremely clear pictures but it doesn't have a very good zoom on it so therefore it makes it difficult to make pictures clear.The touchpad is good if you have had experience with this technology before but can ... more

This phone is amazing, I have owned it for about 3-4 months and dont have a single complaint. I have had loads of phones in the past few years and this is undoubtedly the best. It is small, stylish and so easy to use, with every feature anyone could possibly need. Navigation around the menus is easy, with a sensitive scrolling key, but not too sensitive! It has excellent battery life, I usually charge mine once every 3-4 days and I use it quite a bit for phone calls and sending loads of text messages! i bought the LG shine about 7 months ago on contract with Orange. the contract only cost me £30 a month, which i thought was very reasonable for this phone, as it is quite expensive otherwise it has many functions, including : bluetooth, camera, video camera, internet access, mp3 player it also comes with a screen cleaner, headphones with a volume and track control attached to it, and a charger. a memory card can be inserted for more space. the screen of this phone also acts as a mirror, which is rather handy! i have this phone in silver, but it can also be bought in red, or black. the LG ... more
