Advantages: thousands of films
Disadvantages: Sometimes hard to get new films.

I Love LoveFilm! Firstly I have to say I am a little surprised by some of the other reviews on here, as I have found every aspect of LoveFilm to be pleasing. I joined Lovefilm to take advantage of their free trial offer. I wasn\'t too disappointed so kept the service and began using the service of 2 DVDs a month for £4.99. Looking at the alternative options available, I later decided to increase the number of DVDs I watched and upgraded the package. I have been a member of lovefilm now for well over 2 years and I must admit they are brilliant. After getting dvds to rent outside it never occurred to me to look online for them until I googled. These were the first I chose thankfully after hearing nightmares about others. You logon and register. I've been an Amazon DVD rental customer since they launched the service and two months ago began receiving DVDs from Lovefilm (who bought the Amazon rental database). The turnaround time from when they receive discs to me receiving my replacement has been consistently poor - at the time of writing I have have been without any discs for five days. I have been a Lovefilm customer for about one and a half years, with the 2-DVD unlimited package. I have to say the following from them: -I am usually able to see 6-8 movies per month. -I have always received discs from my high priority list. This list includes latest releases, older movies from the eighties/nineties and classics. ...had absolutely no problems with lovefilm.com and will be using it for quite sometime to come, I recommmend this site to any movie/TV buff who is serious about their films and also to parents who don't have time to go to the cinema because they can't get a babysitter or couldn't find their bairn's favourite film at Blockbuster!!! Disadvantages: Sometimes unreliable, turnaround is not always fast

After realising that buying a game I would only play for a week was a total waste of money, I signed up to LoveFilm under the advice of a friend. I actually managed to get a 90-day free trial which is still in effect until the end of September. If I were to continue my membership under the current terms, I would be paying £14.99 per month which lets me rent 2 disks at any one time (unlimited amount per month) which can include any mix of DVDs, Blu-Rays, ... For the first time in my life I feel compelled to write a consumer review. I have been a member of Lovefilm for over 3 years. I recently returned a DVD but it got lost in the post. I informed Lovefilm and they said they would sed me a V91 form in the post which I would need to complete and send back, which I did within 24 hours. 4 weeks later my account is deducted £25, no communication (letters, email, phone calls). All complaint correspondance is met with a standard 'it's our policy to....' response. I instantly cancelled my long standing account. Love film are an OK company when everything is running smoothly but beware the unrealistic fines and poor customer service if Royal Mail fail to deliver.

Advantages: Large library of films
Disadvantages: Poor communication and very bad customer service, outsourced to overseas call centre

I've been a member of Blockbuster online for almost 2 years now and have a few quibbles with them about being sent discs from way down my list and sometimes not getting any from a particular category, so I decided to try Lovefilm (and Amazon) as well. I've been with Lovefilm for 4 or 5 months now and been using them mainly for TV series discs... so I'd expect (as I'm sure you would too) to receive the discs in the correct running order of the series. ... I have been a member of Lovefilm for over a year now and have no complaints whatsoever. In all that time I believe I have received one incorrect disc. Generally I receive my DVD two or three days after returning the previous one, and whenever there are short delays I suspect this is the fault of the Royal Mail.
