    Advantages Advantages Smooth,clean skin..

Disadvantages Disadvantages I still have blackheads!

I am an absoloute sod for poking my spots. If I get a nice big juicy one I poke it to the point that it is a carbuncle, which needs lancing. I am a fairly lucky girl,as I do not often gets spots. Then again it does depend what I am doing. However I have always suffered from blackheads and some big fat blocked pores. Not helped by wearing make up,being a bit of a sweaty betty in this close ,humid weather.I am also guilty of constantly rubbing my face,as my job means that a lot of face rubbing is required. So after a full days work,I look less than fresh and gorgeous.More like filthy dirty with hair ... more

Advantages Advantages A gently exfoliating and anti-bacterial wash

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not suitable for dry or sensitive skin

I think the Garnier Synergie Pure range is aimed primarily at teenagers and young adults. I still have a very greasy T zone (forehead, nose and chin), despite being older than the average user. The rest of my face is normal to dry. The skin on my face can truly be said to be “combination” type! Garnier say it is right for you, “if your skin is prone to blackheads and imperfections, if it is oily or combination or if you are looking for really deep down cleansing for your pores. It is ideal for every day cleansing and purifying. Pure Deep Pore Wash comes in a 150 ml tube. I don’t like using ... more

    Advantages Advantages Nice tube, cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages VERY drying on "normal" skin

The first time I used this, I almost poked my eyes out. You'd think that being a reasonably smart-ish girl I would be able to use a face wash without causing serious bodily harm to myself. Not so. The instructions on the pack say to concentrate on the forehead, nose and chin, aka your t-zone. Have you ever tried to do that, in one fell swoop? I don't mean have a little scrub away at your forehead, and then another at your nose and a final go at your chin. I mean go for the whole T shape with the flick of a wrist? I wouldn't recommend it. I went up and I went out, but I peaked a bit too soon ... more

Advantages Advantages Leaves skin smooth & refreshed, effective on blemishes

Disadvantages Disadvantages Could be irritating for sensitive skin

This is the most recent face wash I have bought. I've no idea what made me chose this one, I was out shopping with my Mum when I got it and she said something about how she used to use Garnier products when she was younger so I thought I would give them a try. I have a bit of trouble with blemishes on my skin, sometimes it is worse depending on how much I've been out and how busy I've been. Recently I've been out quite a bit and my skin has shown it, so I wanted a face wash that is designed to tackle spots but without being too harsh on the skin, as I also have fairly sensitive skin. I got it ... more

Advantages Advantages Clean, smooth revitalised skin!

Disadvantages Disadvantages VERY drying on skin, still blackheads, hello still have spots!

After thoroughly searching the Boots skincare range (and after a few funny looks from staff!) for around 30 mins I decided to settle for the "Garnier Pure Deep Pore Wash". If it did as it claimed it can't be that bad could it? Garnier is a well trusted brand, so trusted in fact that I felt it was duty to buy the whole range of skincare products. (Afterall it DID recommend it on the back of every Garnier product!) As It was boots it was a 3 for 2 deal. The night gel cost around €8, the wash cost roughly €7 and the moisturiser was also around €7. i didn't think this was THAT cheap..or maybe I ... more

    Advantages Advantages Gentle, effective cleansing

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

Today I am reviewing an exfoliating face wash by Garnier.............. Anyone that has read my other op's knows I suffer from oily spot prone skin and I'm constantly searching for products to help control it. After months of using Clean and Clear I decided that I was in need of a change and this is where Garnier came in............. *Garnier - The Empire............. Garnier began in the USA in 1904 with the creation of a hair tonic lotion containing plant extracts, this was followed by the invention in Europe of the sun protection range Ambre Solaire. Today Garnier have many skin (face and ... more

    Advantages Advantages Thoroughly cleanses skin

Disadvantages Disadvantages The lid should be a flip lid rather than screw on cap

This product comes in a blue tube with a white screw on cap. It is an exfoliating wash and I use it every day. The packaging is modern looking, with silver writing and a green leaf to symbolise that it is part of the "skin naturals range." I bought mine from Boots and it was reduced to £2.99 - I can't honestly remember the full price of it. But I assume that Tesco or Superdrug will probably be cheaper than Boots. The exfoliating wash consists of a clear liquid with lots of tiny blue exfoliating beads in it. You only need a couple of pea sized blobs to exfoliate your full face. It has quite a ... more

Advantages Advantages A really deep clean, like it says on the tin!

Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit too strong for me.

I bought this was because it's Garnier, to which I'm addicted, and because I have a problem with pores in my t-zone. This product promises "a deep cleansing pore wash" - and delivers. Hell, does it deliver. This stuff is seriously hardcore. The first time I used this was I had a couple of popped spots on the side of my face and by Jove, did they sting! After washing my face feels pretty darn scoured. I exfoliate regularly, but this is a different level of clean. I have to rush for the moisturiser as it feels as if my skin is turning to parchment. It dries my skin far more than anything I've ... more

Advantages Advantages Probably works fine on non-sensitive skin

Disadvantages Disadvantages Dries out sensitive skin in a matter of days

I've been trying for years to banish my blackheads and this was the latest product to take up the challenge. I pretty much believe that you have to give something time to work and can be fairly patient with products in the hope that one morning I'll wake up, wash my face and it'll be blackhead-free. However, after only a few days of use I found this wash to be incredibly drying to the point where my pores were standing up on end and it had scrubbed away the skin around my nose and left it dry and sore. I think the little micro-beads that it claims to be "anti-bacterial" are too harsh for even ... more

Advantages Advantages reasonably priced, evens skin tone

Disadvantages Disadvantages not suitable for dry skin, can leave behind residue on the skin

The Garnier brand is one that I trust and after trying to find the perfect cleanser for my combination skin, I opted for their 'pure' range. The range includes: Pure A daily moisturiser, deep clean cream wash, deep clean foam wash and 3in1 facial wipes. The promises: This product promises to unclog pores, help clear imperfections and to prevent blackheads occuring. Does it work: The first time I used this product, my skin felt smooth and refreshed and after extended use of about 4 weeks, my skin tone was noticeably even although a few blackheads still remained. I wouldn't recommend this ... more
