Kissable Hands

Advantages: Hands that feel wonderful
Disadvantages: It can feel slightly heavy at first - Pricey

...Having used L'Occitane now for over three years I think my trial of this product adequate to speak honestly about it. I have occasionally wandered to other “recommended” brands but I always seem to go back to both this one and my Moor Spa cream. Why? Well if you’ve read some of my other ops you will know that I am prone to severe excema on my hands and occasionally minor outbreaks elsewhere. That makes the choosing and using of lotions and potions ...
...give me the results that L'Occitane does. Like its brethren above it also left enough on the hands to mark everything I touched. Liz Earle: Liz uses naturally pure ingredients and her cream was designed for people who suffer from excema. Ideal you would think? So it is but it still hasn’t the strength of the cream on which this review is based. However, while the Liz Earle hand cream is a good reliable product I found it was not quite as thick ...

Baby Nappy Rash Cream in French Disguise!

Advantages: Provided immediate relief from dry hands and absorbs fairly quickly.
Disadvantages: Smells exactly like baby nappy rash cream. A rip off price for such average quality cream.

What is it? *********** A premium hand cream by the French company L'Occitane. Special Features? ******************* A specially formulated premium hand cream containing 20% of Shea Butter, Linseed extract, Honey extract, Sweet Almond, Coconut Oil, Rapeseed extract, Rosemary extract and Sunflower Seed Oil. Especially formulated to nourish, protect and soften dry hands. What do I think? ***************** Despite it's swanky brand name and claims ...
...provided immediate relief from dry hands which is to be expected. It has quite a thick consistency but does absorb quite quickly into the skin. However, it does leave a slight residue but I don't find that it causes any problems. It appears quite a thick concentrated cream, but I find that that I do still need to squeeze a substantial amount onto my hand for sufficient coverage so it's not very economical. Each time I wash my hands, I tend to need ...

SHEA DELIGHT FOR YOUR HANDS

Advantages: Moisturises without greasiness, long-lasting, little goes a long way
Disadvantages: packaging a bit bleurgh, not widely available

I first came across this particular hand cream a couple of weeks ago while I was browsing around Debenhams looking for inspirational Christmas gifts. I remembered that tucked away in my purse were some unused gift vouchers that I’d received for my last birthday and decided it was high time I treated myself. I had been complaining lately that my hands were becoming dry due to those cold mornings standing at the school gates followed by sitting in ...
...were taking their toll on my skin so some serious hand pampering was called for. Although using a moisturising hand wash did help in the short-term I decided to buy a hand-cream for a more-lasting effect, so I browsed around the skincare department and saw the L’Occitane display and tried a tester of the Shea Butter Hand cream. Within minutes my hands had lost their dull, scaly complexion and in its place, silky soft skin. I was impressed so I decided ...

Sheer Luxury

Advantages: Moisturises like no other product that I have come across
Disadvantages: Rather expensive and it isn't widely available

I was first introduced to L'Occitane when I smelt one of their candles in the exhibition room of my jewellery teacher's designs. I had never smelt any other candle like it and so promptly went out to buy one of my own. I walked into that shop to purchase a single tin of that Melissa Pear candle and ended up coming out of the shop with it and half of the entire Shea Butter Range to the detriment of my poor wallet. Thankfully, on a trip to the South ...
...found L'Occitane there and my beloved Shea Butter. Actually, L'Occitane may have found me, as it's home is in fact Provence where I happened to spend most of that week. Even more thankfully, L'Occitane was half the price there so I stocked up, as did my friends, and we happily came away with yet again half the shop. The product I love( yet another one ) is from the Shea Butter Range. Most of the body washes, body lotions are really good , but the ...

Shea heaven

Advantages: Hands remain smooth even after washing them.
Disadvantages: Lack of stockists and price

Let me start by saying how I first heard of L'occtaine products. Over christmas I was at home and scanning the TV decided to watch QVC always a laugh to see what they have for sale. This time however, I was left laughing on the other side of my face. The product on sale was L'Occtaine Shea Butter Hand cream and within minutes they had sold over 200 tubes having only 500 in stock. I couldn't believe that a hand cream could be in such demand and so ...
...QVC - however, it is not. They did lead me to think that they were the only stockists of this cream in the UK which is entirely untrue. So anyway, I'm in Covent Garden end of January and stumbled across the L'occtaine shop - much to my amusement and disbelief - I'm new to London you see. I couldn't resist I had to go in. So I took my friend in having filled her in on the QVC episode and we were pleased to find that they had testers that you could ...

Best hand cream - smooths like silk

Advantages: Great results - only a little required
Disadvantages: Rather pricey

My 3 year old daughter has had problem skin including atopic eczema from a very young age and in cold dry weather, she gest extremely dry patches on her arms, legs and wrists. We have tried all sorts of creams and medication but nothing has every worked quite like shea butter. This is the best hand cream that we've ever used as it only takes a pea size of the cream to smooth out her skin and calm the redness. The cream helps to reduce the redness ...

It takes all the dead skin off leaving your hands glowing they will look pink and younger . The hand cream can be brought in there shops or direct from QVC. The cream ...

A True Miracle Worker!

Advantages: Long lasting silky smooth hands
Disadvantages: None that I can think of!

I purchased some Loccitane en Provence shea butter handcream (with 20% shea butter) from a well known shopping channel last September. The handcream is priced at £14.00 for a 150ml size tube, and is available from the actual Loccitane website, their boutiques, one or two department stores, and just one or two beauty websites. At first I thought that the price was quite expensive, but after being let down by so many other handcream brands, I thought ...
...from severe dry cracked hands, and am also prone to eczema. The actual packaging looks quite old-fashioned, but don't let that put you off! The fragrance smells of sweet almond and other gorgeous things. The handcream itself, is very thick, so you only need to use a small amount. After the first application, I was pleasantly suprised. After the first week, I was truly amazed! I was worried that my hands might sting a little, as they were so dry, ...

L'Occitane's Shea Butter hand cream does the job

Advantages: Soothes sore, dry skin on hands very well, and smells nice
Disadvantages: Very expensive, can be a little heavy for some people

This is a particularly rich hand cream that i'd recomend to anyone who suffers from dry skin. It is a little heavy, and doesn't soak into the skin straightaway, but for those with very dry skin conditions, this isn't a problem, and i've found that it soothes tight, sore skin extremely well. It's rich enought to use elsewhere on the body; particularly the knees, heels and elbows. It smells nice, not too perfumed, and the packaging is reminiscent of ...
...it relatively easy to get the last few squirts of the cream out. The Shea butter content is around 20%, and also boasts fruit, leaf and honey extracts. A lovely product that does the job and looks great in the bathroom; my only gripe is that it is pretty expensive at around £16.50 for a large tube (150ml), but you can buy a smaller travel version (30ml) for around £7.00. It does last a long time so maybe worth the investment. ...

...first: It is from L'Occitane en Provence - fab French company It comes in a variety of sizes, the biggest I have seen is 150ml tube and this size costs £14.00 from the company itself but can be bought cheaper as part of a set from QVC It looks like an old fashioned tube of paint!! Possibly the richest cream there is

Advantages: fantastically rich and nourishing
Disadvantages: fairly expensive and elusive

...magazine seems to be hyping L'Occitane to the hilt right now. And, as we all know, that often means the product's not actually any good. But this handcream is quite possibly the eighth wonder of the world for those with very dry skin. It's a very very thick white cream that comes in a trendy aluminium tube. It smells of nothing much, so nothing to dislike there. It's the richest cream I've found anywhere for anything, so is also great to use on any ...

Don't take it for face value...

Advantages: Leaves your hands lovely and smooth, thick and luxurious
Disadvantages: Packaging

I wasn't too sure about this handcream when I first tried it. It seems to be a lot thicker than most ordinary handcreams, and so it is harder to spread around you hands and takes longer to sink in. But after the first use, you'll never go back. You start to love the feel of it on your skin. I don't use any other handcream now- no other ones do the same for me, they just don't feel as luxurious as this. I would definately recommend people to try ...
