Whar colour is my hair?

Advantages: quick and easy to use
Disadvantages: it washes out :(

Ok so im a natural blonde who in december 2003 decided to go brunette, the brown hair looked great and was fun for awhile but by september 2004 i was getting bored, but due to me having just started at uni i coulnt afford to get it coloured again so when one of my flatmates was reading a magazine and saw an advert for colour pulse she decided that it would be a good idea to get me drunk and dye my hair for me. I am totally unaware of this plan when ...
...later she suggests a bet where if i lose i dye my hair purple or red. Im not drunk but not sober either and think yeah why not. I lose the bet and we go to buy the colour pulse kit. Ok the kits are in bright orange packets with a colour chart on the top showing the likely shades that your hair will go depending on the base colour, bare in mind that my flatmate has no idea that im a natural blonde, as the lack of sunlight has failed to lighten my ...

Two is a charm!

Advantages: Smells Wonderful, Easy to Use
Disadvantages: Follow the Colour chart, or it wont work right.

Looking at the Loreal color chart for the Colour Pulse (http://www.colorpulseusa) my hair is Brown. I recently saw an ad for this semi-permanent hair colour in a magazine, and I thought I would try it. Before I spent the money I read around at the reviews of the past persons that have tried this product... and all of them sounded like they didn't have much luck. Me being the hard headed persistant girl that I am, decided to do it anyway. After ...
...brown, I proceeded to find the colours that would work on my hair. Almost every colour could work... but the one I wanted was the electric black and the chart said It was not recommended for my hair colour. I bought it anyway though because I wanted to try it. I did also buy another one that was recommended for my hair colour (chilled plum) just in case the black didn't work. As far as the packaging goes... The packaging was very eye catching, ...

I was a lively aurburn

Advantages: great colours lasts quite a long time
Disadvantages: none

During this summer hols i wanted to die my hair so I liked the look of these and my mates had tried them before so i got a red colour called Lively Aurburn. I think from Tesco's it was about £3.58 or something like that. It's really good for the price Packaging: They come in a box wrapped in orange plastic with the colour on the front. Inside the box is a metal can with a nozzle (like some mousses) and a instruction sheet with gloves (thats good ...
...really clear. and at the bottom it had all the different colours they do and your natural hair colour so you could see how dark it was going to come out. A day before you dye your hair dab a small amount behind your ear for a skin test and leave for 24 hours. If theres any sign of irration don't use. The colouring was like a mousse not a liquid so it doesn't drip everywhere which is also very handy. The variety of colours is really funky most ...

What colour?

Advantages: Smell, easy to apply
Disadvantages: Few results

I have dark blonde hair, and sometimes I fancy a change, & when I spotted an ad for this in a magazine, I was curious. This is a temporary hair mousse, and in my general opinion, mousses usually work better than they should - like the time my hair went pink & stayed that way for ages! It's said to last aprox 10 washes. You can't miss the bright orange packaging, it stands out among so many of the other hair dyes on the shelf. It's also a foil ...
...I chose 'Iced coffee' as it was a darkish red colour for someone of my hair colour, according to the colour guide on the side of the packet and I didn't want something too bright. The mousse itself is easy to apply, it works the same way as any other hair colourant, just apply it all over your hair, although the mousse means no mixing. What hit me most about this is the smell, it's nothing like the ammonia smell from most colourants, in fact this ...

Keep away from the reds!

Advantages: Easy to use, dosen't stain
Disadvantages: The reds may cause probems

Few years ago I wanted to change my hair colour, so I bought and tried several Color Pulse colours to try them and then choose a permanent dye. I'm ash blonde; I tied the balck, and all went right. Brown, all right. Then I tried the red... Rouge Pulse it was. At first all seemed ok, but then it won't come off my hair! The only solution was to dye them black. They're great products, easy and funny to use, but from my experience (also other people ...

red head?

Advantages: smell, easy to apply
Disadvantages: water never ever runs clear

Hello again. Well I have darkish min length brown hair and I dye it quite often, so to have a change I thought I would use this new fangled hair dye called colour pulse, i used the cherry colour one, it cost me about £3.99 and somthimes that have offers on. It’s pretty easy to apply cause its a mouse, so there I went, put the gloves on and began dying my locks. It didn't take to long to apply, about 15mins I think, and the development time is 30mins. ...
...and it says add a little water and rub in, I don't know what it does but I did it anyway, then it says rinse till the water runs clear, which it never ever flipping well does! so after about 15 mins of rinsing I give up and dried my hair, you could instantly tell the colour was different, but it only really affected the outside layers of my hair not underneath, and I know I put dye there, So in some places my hair was bright red, others cherry colour ...

Would have worked if I followed the colour chart

Advantages: That I could clean up the mess afterwards :)
Disadvantages: Didn't work at all, but that's because of my own fault.

...then she pulled out this L'Oreal Color Pulse Semi Permenant Dye. It was Iced Coffee. I pulled out the leaflet and it said no peroxide, etc. Then I realised that it wouldn't change the reflection/lightness/darkness of my hair, just the colour. On the chart, Iced Coffee said it'd work on Light Brown but not Brown or Dark Brown. Ooookay!! I knew this wasn't going to work, and I made my sister put the whole thing on until I looked lik an ice cream. I ...

My hair was exactly the same as before, which made perfect sense. So to everyone out there, make sure you understand that semi permanent dyes don't change the tone lightness/darkness of your hair, only the colour. So, trying a dark purple on a dark brown or black hair will yield pretty much no results I'd expect. ...

Colour Pulse

Advantages: Leaves your hair really soft and smells nice
Disadvantages: colour ends up brighter than it seems on box

For my birthday i was going out with my boyfriend, and he has always said he would like me to be a darker brunette (my hair is a kind of light brown) so i thought i would buy a hair colour that would wash out after a few days. I had seen the adverts for Colour Pulse on the tv quite alot so i decided to try it. I got "Iced Coffee" as it was a dark brown colour with a hint of red. It looked nice and on the back of it, it showed you what your colour ...
...mousse can , and you get instructions and a pair of gloves. When i applied it, it smelt really nice and fruity and because it is a mousse it didnt drip, but it did get all on my neck and on my forehead and was really hard to get off my face. Before you apply you have to wash and condition your hair and towel dry abit then you apply it into your hair then you have to leave it in for about 30mins or if you want a lighter colour 15mins. Then you rinse ...

Sure... It washes out

Advantages: Looks cool...
Disadvantages: It won't wash out of my hair like it said it would

ok so my friend and I have dark blonde or light brown hair... however you would like to describe it, but we decided that we were going to dye our hair as like a joke and everything. well we were going to go really blonde but they were out so we got red... red pulse... what they had on the box IS NOT how it turns out... my friend and I looked like Ariel off of the little mermaid, but we decided to go with it since we were just going to wash it out, ...
...said that it would come out in like 8 washes, but I have washed my hair ATLEAST 18 times and the only thing that has changed are my roots which look brownish now. She had used it before and said it came right out. I've looked on web sites and used everything recommended to get it out... VERY hot water, shampoo, dandruff shampoo, dawn dish detergent... etc. nothing has really worked... its just as vibrant and red as it was before I started washing ...

Disadvantages: if you don't follow instructions, may spot or get a different color.

i absolutely love this stuff. i have dirty blonde hair... and i hate it, but i'm definitely not up for some permenant change. i saw this ad in a magazine and was against it at first... but after trying it, i've been dying my hair all colors. the first time i used it, i dyed my hair the 'iced coffee'. i loved it. it went on great and didn't leave any spots. however, i've heard some people had some complaints about it not washing out but mine came ...

I love it so much!!

Advantages: Soft, shiney, great color
Disadvantages: the fact it isn't permanent :)

Ok well I just got the Loreal Color Pulse in Electric Black about a week ago at Walmart. It was kind of an impulse buy because I wanted to do something new with my hair that wasn't permanent but would still look noticeable. So I told my boyfriend to pick out something temporary that he thinks would look good. He grabbed the Color Pulse in Electric Black. My hair is dyed medium brown, and I decided to put the electric black on the underneath half ...

Also, I have long hair, all down my back almost to my waist, and one package was plenty (I didn't even use the whole can!). I'm actually going do it permanent now because it looks so good. It also makes your hair really soft and shiney too. I would definitely recommend Color Pulse for anyone who wants a temporary ...

My experience with loreal pulse

Advantages: Quick and easy to use
Disadvantages: none so far!

I have just finished using loreal pulse funky cherry. It cost £2.84 from a Boots shop in Wokingham. It has worked fantastically and i am very pleased with the results. I am naturally brown haired and my hair has come out just like it said it would. It was very easy to use and took me less than an hour. It hasn't stained my hands or my bathroom. I think that it is very good value for money and will definitely be using it again. It is definitely worth ...
...use the gloves. I have very short hair but i used the whole can anyway which is probably why it's so bright. I probably could have got away with only using half of it. It is worth doing a strand test just to check if you like the colour as it is very very very bright. Well, mine was any way. Well, 4 weeks on and the colour has just about gone from my hair. There were no problems and the colour gradually faded and didn't go patchy, which is good! ...

Red Stained My Hair

Advantages: Vibrant And Pretty

It sucks

Advantages: none
Disadvantages: it doesn't turn out like it says

I have brown hair so i decided to use electric black right, the title i stupid it turns out totally purple. Not even purpleish black. The first time i did it it wasn't very purple. It had a little bit but you could only really tell if looked closely. So i tried it again this time i left it in for 40 minutes instead of the recommended 30. It turned out a lot better but instead of taking an hour or so it took about 2. It was really frustrating when ...
...it worked out ok in the end. It wasn't the colour i was expecting though. It was definately not worth the money. I paid about $7.99 can, at the real canadian superstore and at walmart it was $8.56 can. I wouold not recommend it because it is frustrating because you have to spend like twice the time that you expect to when you buy it. The next day i went swimming and it all washed out. I didn't even get to wear it to school! I found the application ...
