Advantages: More vibrant colour
Disadvantages: None at all!!

As someone who has dyed their hair for 11 years since the age of 12 I am always on the look out for a new product that promises great end results. Disadvantages: No cap

- largely because I have a habit of forgetting which hairdye I used the time before, which makes it difficult to buy it again. At least I did before (cue cheesy ad moment) I discovered Feria. I'm not sure why I bought it the first time, especially as it's a bit pricey. Certainly a couple of quid more than I would normally pay. Advantages: LOVELY, SHINY,SULTRY HAIR, WILL MAKE HEADS TURN
Disadvantages: IF YOU GET IT WRONG..ITS PERMANENT

Being a natural redhead, I need a colour on my hair during the winter to brighten it up and make it shine. Over a fair few years a have tried quite a few red shades, but I think I've found the perfect one. L 'oreal Feria colour, Permanent, and very easy to apply. ...one brand which is usually L'Oreal Revitalise, however when I was in Boots, a couple of days ago, I came across the Feria range and because it was made by L'Oreal I was a bit more confident using it than I would have been if it had been made by another manufacturer. Apart from the ads, I was put off by the price- generally this product costs around £5.99 and upwards from my local Boots (though all you crazy bargain hunters may know of places that sell it cheaper.) Disadvantages: a bit pricey really

I was fed up of having brown hair and wanted to go back to having a little fun with colour before my hair got too grey to do it myself successfully. Disadvantages: sometimes doesn't work on really dark hair (bright shades)

Advantages: Specific lightening for darker hair
Disadvantages: development time

I have used L'oreal Feria on a few occassions - they do one where you apply the colour with a brush which is Feria Contraste - this supposedly gives you the more natural look - you get to pick where to brush it on - but in all honesty mine just came out in a block of colour on the top layer of hair. Disadvantages: Fades quickly, pricier than other hair dyes.

I've been cursed with dull brown hair, so I tend to colour it at home a lot as going to a hair salon each time can be expensive. As I'm always willing to try new brands I found this permanent colour to give good results. I tried a dark red and the result was similar to the colour on the box (which makes a change). I am a regular user of hair colourants and like to dye my hair approximately every 6 weeks (to prevent those dreaded roots from showing) I was in my local Safeway store last night and decided I would colour my hair after tea, as yes my roots were showing and also I wanted a pick-me-up which freshly coloured hair offers. I decided to use Feria Color again, in spite of my annoyance at the American spelling of colour. There seem to have been some changes to the contents since the last time I used it, with the most positive being the vinyl gloves. All the other hair colourants I have used have had those terrible plastic gloves that are stuck to the instruction sheet when you unfold it. ...products I have used. However L'Oreal Feria has come up trumps as not only has it given me the effects I wanted but it's packaging has meant that I am drawn to it in eerie X-Files style each time I decide to change my hair. The great thing is that the little picture at the back which shows you the before and after colours of your hair when you use the dye have so far proved to be very accurate.
