Finding your Balance

Advantages: the best of its kind for a reasonable price
Disadvantages: may not last quite as long as it claims

It can't be wise of me to say this to you when the maligned is inevitably watching, but let me say it anyway – my skin pretty much hates me. It bruises easily, and scars easily, and sings siren songs to insects so they'll come and bite me. It picks up passing viruses on occasion (guttate psoriasis, anyone? On second thoughts don't bother – it's appalling) just so I can be covered in leperous outbreaks for months. It takes exception to the oddest ...
...throat infections – and uses them as an opportunity to break out in a rash. And as for the most infinitesimal exposure to sunshine without a factor 35 or more sunscreen – don't make me laugh; it jumps on any excuse. Oh – and it gives me spots on my T-zone (that's Scientificese for your forehead, nose and chin, fact fans) and dry skin on my cheeks. Which isn't a great look for a fabulous young lady, I'm sure you'll agree. I'm not quite sure why ...

Certinly not IDEAL for me

Advantages: smelt nice enough
Disadvantages: too dry and didn't apply evenly.

...Ideal Balence is made by L'OREAL and claims to be balanceing makeup that evens out combination skin. I have such combination skin; oily T-zone, dry cheeks etc. So of course such a claim would only entice me to buy. I choose the colour Light Beige which seened close to my own skin tone, applying however was not so easy as it seemed to set quickly and refused to blend at all. Were oily the product claims to control shine with an anti shine complex ...
...But thoses lovely people at L'OREAL aren't all that bad, I have used there foundations in the past and most have been quite good. However L'OREAL you shouldn't make promices you can't keep! I was very disapointed in this product, after all it did cost £9.99 for a 30 ml bottle, very expensive especially now its in the bin! For all you people who may consider buying this though here are some things you might want to know.... 1.Its oil free 2.Its ...

An ideal base

Advantages: Easy to apply
Disadvantages: On the expensive side

...to try Ideal Balance because L'Oreal seemed to have discontinued my usual foundation, 'Colour Endure'. The foundation comes in a squeezable bottle and there's a wide range of colours to choose from. A bonus is that the shades available only have subtle differences which enables you to find a really good match for your skin. L'Oreal 'Ideal Balance' is quite expensive, but the price is relative to what you are used to paying. In comparison to a make-up ...
...cheap. The bottle contains 30ml and costs about 9.99 depending on where you shop. The consistency of the foundation is fairly runny, although not overly so. I found it very easy to apply and blend with it giving a nice, even coverage. The bottle claimed that it would moisturise where needed - ie in any dry areas. My skin is quite normal, but I do suffer from small dry patches on each side of my nose, unfortunately the foundation did not moisturise ...

Ideal Balance

Advantages: Easy to apply
Disadvantages: Doesn't last the eight hours as it says.

Last year I got married abroad and had to do my make up for the big day myself. Browsing around the shelves of my local Chemist I was spoilt for choice and decided just to choose a foundation that was quite expensive but not over the top. I chose the Loreal Ideal balance but before I purchased it I made sure that the colours were suitable for my pale skin. Luckily the Light Beige colour was perfect for my skin and I bought the product straight ...
...it very easy to apply. The bottle is small enough to hold and easily squeeze the foundation out onto your hand before application. Then when putting it onto my skin it glided easily. and looked nice and matte as it should. It is not very good at covering blemishes and seems to leave an almost translucant look unless you cake it on. At that point I was very happy with my buy! However my wedding was in Africa which was very hot and by the evening ...

COMBINATION FOUNDATION FOR COMBINATION SKIN!

Advantages: in good variety ofm shades, lasts all day
Disadvantages: quite pricey

I have tried HUNDREDS of foundations over the years-and up until now-generally-have been disappointed-However thanks tothe clever people at L"Oreal I ve finally found the right one for me and my troublsome complexion. I was "blessed " with a very pale, sensitive complexion-and with it comes all the usual hassles-too dry on my forehead and cheeks, too oily on my nose and chin-so The Ideal Balance foundation is a match made in heaven-it actually adapts ...
...lasts through a whole day-great if I want to go for a drink straight from work-just a quick touch-up of powder and Im ready to party! It is a tad pricey-but if you use it sparingly(you dont need to use much anyway as it has a rich texture)then I find one bottle will last me about 2 months-so it justifies the £9.99 price tag.It also seems to condition and protect my skin. The best feature for me though, would have to be that I can get such a pale shade-no ...
