Tantastic

Advantages: Easy to apply and doesn't streak
Disadvantages: Highly perfumed

...a new lotion produced by L'Oreal and called Nutrisummer. It comes in two types, one for medium skin and one for fair and the recommended retail price is £6.99 for a 200 ml tube, although I picked mine up in Superdrug for less than this, but whether it is still on offer or not, I don't know. Having such a pathetically pale complexion, I opted for the fair variety. It works on the same principle as all the other body lotions whereby you apply it ...
...is used in several new L'Oreal skin products". Quite a brave claim to make I thought but decided to put it to the test myself and after bathing, I applied this instead of my usual body lotion. It does advise to wash hands after application. I made sure to heed this advice after last year's disastrous attempts to use the Johnsons Holiday Skin left me with orange palms and grimy brown bits in between each finger that no amount of scrubbing would ...

...sheets, clothes, towels etc) and L'Oreal Nutrisummer stands out as the best, for me. I bought this in Tesco for £6.99 for 200ml. I have had a look around various shops and it seems that this is the recommended retail price. I guess you may get it cheaper if there are promotions on (or save up the Boots advantage card points!). There are 2 different colours, Medium and Fair. I chose the Medium moisturiser as I already had fading post holiday tan ...
...to ensure I got a smooth coverage with no tell tale patches on the elbows and knees! The product itself has a nice, creamy consistency. It is thick enough that it won't drip on the floor but creamy enough that it's easy to rub on the skin. It is applied easily, rubbed on and smoothed over the skin. Once on, it takes a few minutes to dry which I think is very reasonable. There is a slight smell to the product which is not overwhelming in anyway. ...

L'Oreal Nutrisummer: It's all in the application

Advantages: Not too expensive, even colour if applied correctly
Disadvantages: Smell, needs to be rubbed in well

After returning from holiday and watching my natural tan fade within a matter of weeks I decided that instead of putting up with being pale for the next year I would fake it. I haven't had much luck in the past with fake tans as they always leave me looking like an oompa loompa, so I thought I'd try one of the gradual tanning moisturisers that seem to be everywhere. I chose Nutrisummer simply because it was on offer at my local supermarket. Loreal ...

The packaging ************ The product is in an orange and cream tube and although it is quite large, its compact shape makes it easy to store in a bathroom cupboard or to stand on a shelf. The appearance of the tube isn't very original and probably wouldn't stand out on a supermarket shelf so it may take a while to find it. The product comes in two varieties, either for fair or medium skin and claims to build ...

L'Oreal for me!

Advantages: natural looking tan, moisterising
Disadvantages: takes a while to dry

I tried L'Oreal Nutrisummer for the first time last summer after realising I just couldn't face getting my pastey pins out in the sun! I brought it from Boots for £7.92. Prices vary depending on where you shop but is usually between £6 - £7. A 'tone up' bottle of Nutrisummer is also available - it is the same as Nutrisummer but contains caffeine which is meant to tone the skin and reduce the apperance of cellulite. A tone up botte typically costs ...
...other tanning products I've used L'Oreal Nutrisummer gave me a tanned glow, rather than orange blobs and I was really pleased with the results. Everybody noticed it too - they were commenting me, asking if I had been sunbathing or on holiday! When I told them it was a fake tan they couldn't believe it and told me how natural it looked. When I took a soak in the bath the tan still stayed on but when I dried myself with a white towel, to my horror ...

2-in-1 lotion + tanner

Advantages: Ease of use, pleasant smell
Disadvantages: Watery texture

L'Oreal NutriSummer offers a gradual tan to make you look like you've been on holiday all summer long. WHAT IT PROMISES Nourished and golden skin all year round. NutriSummer combines Hydralium (tm) for moisturized skin all day, plus Soft-Tan for a progressive, natural, sun-kissed look day after day. NutriSummer promises hydrated skin with a light natural tan. USE Apply all over body once daily. SMELL Smells pleasant, slightly flowery. Once ...
...odour, making it pleasurable to apply. It's a great way of gradually tanning without announcing it to the world via your stinky lotion. Smells much more like 'normal' lotion than self-tanner. FEEL The package advertises a "velvety texture", but I found NutriSummer a little watery. It's okay as long as you don't pour too much on. As someone who generally prefers thick lotions, the runniness was a bit annoying, though. I think the key with this is ...

...then Loreal's Nutrisummer can help you get a little closer to that gorgeous tan you had... :-) Living in England doesn't really help with that all-year-round tan and since neither my Mum nor my Dad are Spanish I do need to worry about my complexion. I've tried a few things before - including Johnson & Johnson's "holiday skin" which ended up in a bin - but was never really happy with the result. When I visited a friend she told me about that "Loreal ...

I bought the 200ml tube for £6.99 in Boots and chose the fair skin option to avoid looking as if I had fallen in some sort of paint. There is also an option for medium skin types which I will probably pick once I consider myself tanned enough... The first thing you notice when opening the tube is its fairly strong smell, but contrary to ...

Tanned and gorgeous

Advantages: Streak free, non-orange
Disadvantages: The smell

I started using L'Oreal Nutrisummer after seeing a magazine advert with Scarlet Johanssen in Cosmo. I'm an advertisers dream! Previous to that I had tried numerous fake tanners and body lotions with a hint of fake tan (Boots no 17, Piz Buin, St Tropez, Johnsons Holiday Skin), but none did the trick - leaving me either streaky or orange. In my opinion, Nutrisummer surpasses them all. After having a shower, I just apply as I would normal body lotion ...
...legs (I used the "Fair skin" version, although it is also available in "Medium"). With a bit of care, making sure it has been throughly rubbed in, there were no streaks or patches, even without using a body scrub to exfoliate first. The only downside to this product is the smell. Those familiar with using fake tan will know what I mean when I say that it smells very strongly like stale biscuits, which I've not noticed using the Johnsons Holiday ...

I love this! It smells wonderful!

Advantages: Smells great, beautiful & even tan, very moisturising
Disadvantages: None that I can think of - I love it!

I've used a couple of other tanning moisturisers and found them to be horrible. This one however was really amazing. The tan builds up really slowly, which is good as I'm really fair skinned. It's a nice tan as well, not orangey. It really makes you glow as well and is great if you're too skint to go abroad. I am usually terrible at applying fake tan moisturisers, I always do it in patches and miss out bits, but this moisturiser was a lot easier ...
...to spread across your skin and get an even tan. Also, I've never ever had that thing where you have fake tan on the palms of your hands with this product and I've never had lines between my fingers of where I've applied my tan. It is easily absorbed, I tend to put it on before I go to bed and I've never had tan marks on my sheets. By the morning, I'm left with a lovely tan. Another very important thing about this product is that it smells soooo ...

Advantages: Easy to apply, good offers for price
Disadvantages: Comes off after a long soak in bath

This year (2007) was actually the first time i used this produect.I've never yet used a self tanning lotion or anything similar before using this so i didn't quite know what to expect. I found it easy to apply, just squeeze the tube and out it comes. I placed various blobs over my skin on my legs and then rubbed it in, as you would do with foundation lets say. There wasn't a noticiable difference immediatley but after a few days my legs did look ...

I tried to cover these patches up, by placing more on them than the other places, however this didn't work. Another thing i also noticed was when i was bathing the water would turn a brownish colour, which turned out to be the lotion. also when drying my legs it would also show up on the towel. this was very frustrating. I bought my lotion from ...

From a self-tan-aholic

Advantages: smells gorge, isn't greasy, not streaky
Disadvantages: bit pricey and doesn't last too long

As a self-tan-aholic, i've tried out more products than most, and this one is in my favourites. I'm not normally a Loreal person, due to the fact i get allergies to most of it, but i thought i may as well give it a go. On analysing it i found out that: " smells gorgey " is not greasy and soaks in well " no streaks in sight BUT, it doesn't last too long without going a bit blotchy, it does appear quickly, day 1 is almost as dark as day 3 and it ...

Lovely legs

Advantages: Nice soft tan, smooth silky skin.
Disadvantages: Slightly tacky feeling left on skin if not rubbed in well.

Coal fires, propping legs up on the hearth - made me nice and toasty at the time, but i did not realise that it would make my legs the bane of my life forever after. Blotchy in the cold, dry skin, no tanning properties - all the things you can well do without later in life. So, the only thing to do is use false tanning products, on which by now it seems I am an expert as I will try anything once. Failure after dismal failure ensued until I tried ...
...I actually have the Tone Up Anti-Cellulite version of this (I need all the help I can get)! When I first tried it, it seemed a little tacky once you started to rub it in and left a slightly sticky layer on my skin. However, with a little practice and common sense (use less, rub more) I found that it no longer felt tacky. I was a little dubious about putting socks, trousers etc on as I thought the clothing would rub the product off, but they didn't. ...

Decided i had to write about this product after seeing some recent photos of myself. gradual tan? overnight tan is more precise!

Advantages: smells lovely, strong natural colour
Disadvantages: different product for face

when i first saw this advertised, i thought it was too good to be true. My past experiences of fake tan included streaks, bright orange elbows and knees, a smudged hairline and horrible smells! Therefore, i was pleased to discover a moisturiser with a gradual tanning component. I purchased the nutrishimmer off the Boots online shop, with an offer of two bottles for the price of one, and opted for the 'fair skin' moisturiser. The product comes ...

I was annoyed to discover that it was recommended not to use on the facial area, implying that i would have to purchase another product to use on my face, or walk around with a tanned body and a pale face. the cream does actually smell really nice, and doesnt have a typical 'fake tan' smell, and it absorbs beautifully into the skin. I did however use up the majority of the bottle in less ...

Advantages: easy to apply and easily absorbed
Disadvantages: fades quickly and strong smell

I have never been a lover of self tanning products as I usually find them too orangey for my skin and am rubbish at applying them and finish up with streaky legs and yellow palms!! I liked the sound of this product as it sounded less intense than a tanning product and more of a moisturiser. I also liked the fact that it was on offer in Sainsburys and I only paid £3.99!! ...was actually quite sceptical of this working and was therefore pleasently surprised when after about 3 days there was a noticable healthy colour on my legs and I actually felt able to shed the jeans for crops! You do need to use this very regularly though (at least every other day ) as the colour fades quickly. You also need to try and apply evenly as I have noticed some areas of more intense colouring.
