Advantages Advantages Smell, value for money, products included

Disadvantages Disadvantages Unexpected results on coloured hair, the shampoo's mysterious colour-changing properties

*Reviewing based on experiences with coloured hair, NOT natural hair. Experience may not reflect how product works on virgin hair* Yes, I turned to hair colouring again. I had my natural hair colour back, with some reddish undertones, but I wanted to jazz things up with some highlights. I debated between doing it solo with foils using Live XXL, but then this product caught my eye. At just over £5, cheaper than one box of Live XXL Ice Blonde, I decided to go for it. I have had experience with highlights before, but to be honest I tended to do them freehand without the cap and hook. However, the ... more

Advantages Advantages Great light colour, not a hint of orange!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Strong smell, can damage hair if over used

I have had many problems with dyes in the past turning my natural light brown hair orange, but this highlighting kit gave my hair a completely different look, the highlights are VERY blonde but using the cap made them look even and equally spaced out. To make your hair look natural put more at the front and ears and your hair will look sun kissed. I left mine 40 minutes before washing mine out this was the perfect time for my hair to lighten. i seriously recommend this kit over others that i have tried.. unfortunately i cant remember the other ... more

    Advantages Advantages Ease of use.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A little pricey

A friend had used L'Oreal perfect blonde highlighting kit and recommended it to me. To say I was hesitant about highlighting my own hair, is an understatement. So many times in the past, it has turned out as a complete disaster. It's usually meant a rather hurried hairdressers appointment and an anxious wait to see the final result. But, I needn't have worried. The instructions were so easy, so was the application. The mixture did not have an over-powering smell of peroxide, something I have found with other similar products. What I loved was that I was able to decide just how many highlights ... more
