Advantages: Soft, smooth, brighter skin.
Disadvantages: The price but it lasts!

...300 advantage card points! L'oreal Paris Dermo Expertise Refinish comes in a cellophane wrapped silver box with a viewing window cut into the centre, so you can see the two tubes. Inside there is a moulded piece of plastic keeping the tubes in place. Behind this plastic there is an instruction leaflet. This product makes four claims, · Smoothes skin micro relied and refines skin texture. · Boosts skin's radiance immediately, evens skin tone. ...
...I know they don't seem plausible, we all hear what the adverts say and turn round and say yeah right to the TV! I will come back to these further on and give my verdict. The information leaflet has diagrams of how to use both steps as well as written explanations. There is information about the product, advice and safety instructions. The first step of the process is the Micro-Dermabrasion Resurfacing Exfoliator. This tube is a silver grey with ...

Therefore, never apply it on dry skin! Very little amount is needed, normally 4 - 5 small dots on key areas dabbed onto your skin. No pain, no gain

Advantages: smooth, soft skin
Disadvantages: painful on the face, as well as the wallet!

Ever since I saw Natalie Imbruglia advertising this product, it was a must in the Mack’s essential items to have. What can I say? I'm the Advertiser's Dream. As I’d just turned *cough cough* thirty something plus a few, my skin was starting to look a little jaded after years of waking up at 6am for my lovely job. Ahem! As I was wandering around Boots after Christmas I saw that this particular kit had a small amount of money off the usual price (a ...
...the points that had mounted up over the whole year. I was going to start 2005 with a healthy skin! * What is it? * It’s a two step kit, in a pretty silver box containing: The Micro-Dermabrasion resurfacing exfoliator (60 ml) and The Post Treatment Optimising Moisturizer SPF 15 (40 ml) Before I go any further, it says quite plainly on the box that it’s suitable for all skin types, *except* sensitive. I have fairly normal skin which doesn’t flare ...

I have been using this product for about 4 weeks now, and having read some other reviews, thought I'd write my own. ...quite a thin, light moisturiser containing Vitamin E. How to Use:- The pack contains a leaflet showing full step-by-step instructions for correct application, here's my brief version: 1. Cleanse face 2. Wet face and neck all over (Important if you don't want to rub your face raw!!) 3. Apply a small amount of the Micro-Dermabrasion Resurfacing Exfoliator to the nose, forehead, chin and each cheek. 4.Using your fingertips, in small circular motions, ...

Refinish Your Skin To Flawless Perfection

Advantages: Gorgeous healthy looking skin, smoother texture, costs less than professional with same results
Disadvantages: breakouts after first few treatments, redness

I bought the L'Oreal Refinish Microdermabrasion Kit when I had read about it in a magazine a week prior. The product boasted results that were just as good as professional treatments and promised glowing, healthy looking younger skin. Having spent good money on a few professional treatments in the past, I decided to give the product a try as a more intensive microdermabrasion method in conjunction with my twice a week St. Ives Apricot Scrub. The ...
...a bargain in comparison to professional microdermabrasion treatments which can be quite expensive for just one session. I was pleased when I saw the products in the box, as they are quite large in comparison to the Mary Kay Microdermabrasion kit that I had used prior to this one. The product is a set of 2 that includes the microdermabrasion crystals and the other which is an after treatment lotion. I read the box instructions which said that the ...

Peachily luscious skin for £15? Yes please.

Advantages: It works, it's a real bargain, it's also good for spots
Disadvantages: None

Marvellously fulsome descriptions for this product have already been written, so I'll just cut to the chase and tell you what I think of it. Bit about me first - I'm 28 years old, battled acne between the ages of 11 and 25 and now just have reasonably decent combination / dehydrated / occasionally spot-prone skin which is just starting to get a little dullness and the odd fine line. I only burst into print if products are so good I end up telling ...
...of them. Five of my buddies are now benefitting from beautifully glowing faces following the Catwoman guinea-pig trials. Bought it on spec after seeing the advert and being already frustrated with so many of the facial scrubs on sale in the high street. I'd only ever found products that were 90% gunk and 10% scrub so was intrigued as to what this one would be like - had a discount voucher which brought it down to £10 so thought I'd take a chance. ...

Scrub Me Baby!

Advantages: Smoother, softer, brighter skin,
Disadvantages: need long term use? irritating on sensitive skin

I ended up trying this product out as my mum bought it and ended up not using as often so i got to reap the benefits! As i didnt buy it i dont know for sure the costs but my thinks it was around £14-£15. Basically this is a home microdermabrasion kit. Whats microdermabrasion i hear you cry?! Well, basically its using small granules in a circular motion upon your face which removes the upper layer of skin and dead cells and helps to reveal the younger ...

The First tube contains aluminium oxide crystals which are very small and hard and are the "active" thing that actually scrubs away the dead cells. Loreal recommend yu carry out the microderma brasion twice a week for fully effective results to be seen and felt. You apply a few dots of ...

From dry patches to silky smooth in 2 minutes!

Advantages: Fast smoothness, without all the harsh abuse and scrubbing with traditional exfoliators.
Disadvantages: Careful not to get in eyes - judging from the texture it would be absolute agony.

I researched this all week before I finally bought it and tried it today - and as you can see, I'm so enthusiastic I had to write a review the same day! My purchase of this kit was mainly brought about because of my heavy use of fake tans. It doesn't matter how expensive or wonderful a fake tan is - it looks terrible on skin like mine that has various dry patches on the forehead and chin area. I tried so many exfoliators, to the point where I was ...
...veins. Nothing seemed to remove dry patches. So I started searching for something more drastic that might exterminate that problematic surface skin - and found this 're-surfacer'. I have to admit, I was nervous about it - I kept imagining it was some kind of acidic liquid that would sizzle at my skin like a bad sunburn. And when I finally massaged the first globs unto my forehead, I have to tell you, I was even more apprehensive - it felt like I ...

Fast, definate improvement

Advantages: simple to use, great results
Disadvantages: none!

I got this kit and was a bit sceptical but decided to give it a go as my skin was always looking grey and 'tired' no matter how much sleep I had! Its very simple and easy to use, the scrub bit is very rough feeling on the skin but its very satisfying as it feels like its doing something! The cream that is used after the scrub feels gorgeous on the skin and is a delight to use. After the first treatment my skin did look a bit more revatalised (the ...
...lines on my forehead were looking less noticeable. The second time I used it I noticed a definate improvement the next morning, I have quite a deep line on my upper lip (dont know why cos I dont smoke!) and it has always bugged me but after the second time of using the kit this line has diminished by at least 50% !! I was over the moon as I didnt expect such a dramatic improvement after only a couple of treatments. I would really recommend this ...

Interesting...

Advantages: Easy and quick to use
Disadvantages: none so far

I'm not going to describe the product again, Evil Irish Twin did it very well :0) I have been using this product for nearly two weeks now (at the time I am writing, Superdrug has it on special offer for £11.99). I must say I'm definitely not a big fan of exfoliators. I don't see the point as it generally does more bad than good. Especially in my case. I'm of this new generation called 'still spotty, already wrinkly'. Which means that my skin problems ...
...very prone to any happy, funny breakouts with most of moisturisers and cosmetic products (I'm a good guinea-pig). Anyway, I can already tell a difference in the radiance and texture however nothing on the side of the fine lines :0( Here's my recommendations: - Don't use it if you have spots, if you just have a couple of these nasties, don't use it on them and apply to the rest of the face as indicated on the notice - Use it in winter rather than ...

Quick review of L'Oreal ReFinish Micro-Dermabrasion Kit

Really looking forward to trying this product, unfortunately it did very little to excite me. I can remember using very similar products way back in the fifties and sixties [ yes I am that old!] they were called "cleansing grains" and looked like tiny grains of rice, Helena Rubinstein and Dorothy Grey made them and at the time were the hot new product. It appears to me that Loreal have not made much of an improvement on the grains,my skin did feel smoother for a few hours but ther was no improvement in tha appearance of lines or pores. Perhaps I am too old for this product, or maybe far too sceptical to believe all the hype that goes with it. Cass. ...

L'Oreal Refinish

Advantages: Quick and easy to use
Disadvantages: Benefits are temporary

I had very high hopes for this product as other I'Oreal products have proved satisfactory in the past. I have to admit that after use my skin looked fantastic but the following day my skin was very very dry. I have been using this product twice a week for about six weeks now and I am very disappointed. After each application the day after use my skin is still dry and flaky, I also feel my skin is quite bumpy. As for any improvement to fine lines ...
