I’ve used many products from the L’Oreal range over the years, ranging from face make-up (i.e. lipstick, mascara, blusher, etc), to face and body moisturisers, self-tan products and hair-care products, and I have to say that the majority of the time I’ve been fairly pleased with my purchase. So, when I saw the very lovely Penelope Cruz advertising L’Oreal’s newest addition to its range – True Match Minerals Powdered Foundation – I thought I’d give ...

My Perfect Match Review ofL'Oreal True Match Mineralsby
lulu2004
Advantages: Very even coverage, much more than you would expect from a powder Disadvantages: Badly packaged
...on liking were Maybelline and L'Oreal but the L'Oreal Golden Ivory shade seemed to have the edge with my skin tone. Admittedly I wasn't hugely thrilled with the consistency- it seemed a little powdery to me, but then that was the idea- a light but high-level coverage.
Getting to Grips with application
From the packaging I could see the basic idea of how to apply the powder. There is a brush screwed on to a little pot of powder,, but other than ...

Advantages: doesnt irritate my skin Disadvantages: expensive, badly designed, poor coverage, heavy appearance, difficult to apply
...gaze was drawn to the L'Oreal true match minerals foundation. I hadn't seen it before and the makeup stand seemed to hype it up (obviously...damn advertising!!..always gets me!) I have since seen the television advertising for the produce featuring Penelope Cruz with amazing flawless looking skin.
When I saw the pot I thought it looked really cute and picked it up without even looking at the price. There were a range of 9 shades but most were ...

Advantages: Gives a light, natural looking finish and is easy to apply. Disadvantages: Packaging could be more user-friendly.
I'm pretty lazy when it comes to foundation, I rarely wear a proper liquid foundation, as all that blending and getting the stuff on my hands just bores me. During the day I normally wear a powder on my face, to control shine and even out my complexion. Until recently I'd been using the L'oréal True Match 'super-blendable' pressed powder, which is pretty good, but I sometimes felt it didn't offer me as much cover as I wanted, so when I saw the advert ...

Advantages: Good covergae, light on your skin Disadvantages: A bit messy
I normally don't use L'oreal Paris make up. It is in the lower end range but yet seems to be quite expensive compared to other brands such as Rimmel and Maybelline. If I am going for a cheap brand, I will go for these. If I am looking for something a little more luxury I will go for Benefit or Mac. L'oreal Paris seems to be a brand that sits in the middle.
This time though, when buying foundation, I decided to go for this brand. There has been ...

Advantages: light, almost flawless glowing make up Disadvantages: pricey, long to apply
I'm always been skeptical when a so called new revolutionary product gets on the market. I have heard a lot about mineral make up from ppl on youtube (so mainly ppl like you and I) so I decided to try it myself.
My skin type is normal/dry with acne. My face is not oily at all though I can get spots very easily if I apply too many products at the same time or containing acne triggers (whether chemical or natural!).
My skin tone is sort of medium ...

Terrible! Review ofL'Oreal True Match Mineralsby
shiningplanetss
Advantages: Cheap for mineral foundation. Disadvantages: Poorly designed, bad colour choice, bad coverage and shine control.
First off, let me explain my skin type. I have acne scars, still get the occasional spot and have oily skin that somehow manages to feel tight and dry in the morning if i don't moisturise, only to become extremely oily later in the day.
I had heard all of the hype sorrounding mineral make-up and thought this sounded like an excellent idea for my skin type, as the packaging claims that it has "no perfume, no preservatives, oil-free, non-comodogenic, ...

Advantages: cheap for a mineral make up Disadvantages: Scratchy brush, the correct shade hard to find.
Being a cosmetic junkie i decided to try this product recently, after having used other mineral powders: Bare minerals mineral veil, Philsophy the Supernatural and Urban Decays mineral powder. I was draw to this Loreal one due to the £12.99 price tag, being 1/2 that of Philosophy.
Firstly the colour. Ive always found buying powder a chore as the colour in store is never the same when you get it outside. And the harsh lights never help. I found ...

...them. I hovered around the l'oreal counter for ages, testing the shades and finding the perfect one for me. After the long anticipation of finding a mineral makeup and generally a makeup thats actually good for your skin!
At the time, it was discounted, however the RRP is £9.99 for a large pot with an detachable lid thats handily stored in the lid. You just unscrew the lid to use the brush. Within the pot there it a sieve like sleeve so you can ...

...looking glow-FAB!
The foundation uses the L'Oreal true match technology, which (apparently) makes the makeup bledn pefectly with your skin tone. And it really does! No more orangey face for me! and no horrid 'tide mark' around the jaw line as its so easy to blend.
The foundation is so easy to use as its a powder which you can just sweep on and not fiddle around with bottles and sponges and messy fingers! The stubby brush helps you really blend ...

Advantages: Finally my skin looks quite flawless. Disadvantages: None!
I have searched for years for the perfect coverage, and I think I've just found it.
I bought this 2 weeks ago while out shopping for something else. I hadn't intended to buy any make-up, but the advert for it had stuck in my mind, so when I saw it on offer for £9.99, I grabbed one.
Personally, I've always had trouble with foundation drying out my skin, looking uneven, and just generally making me look like I've washed my face with sand. I assumed ...

I brought L'Oreal True Match Minerals the other week - looked very simple to use and quick and easy. I thought you would just used the brush and sweep it on your face and build it up.
Hmmm...... No that seems not to be happening - it seems to be doing anything for my face. I have normal skin type. I have to put a base fountion on first then sweep the True Match Mineral over that about 10 times to get any effect.
Dont get me wrong ...

This is lovely! When I first heard about this I thought it would be expensive but I must admit I fancied having a try. Anyway, my sister gave me a Boots voucher for my birthday so I went to see how much it was. Luckily, It was on offer that week for £9.99 (not sure whats the usual price) so I decided to use my voucher for it.
I was really looking forward to giving it a go and I can honestly say I was very impressed. Everyone, and I mean everyone ...

too much glow :( Review ofL'Oreal True Match Mineralsby
lovinitxx
Advantages: good coverage, long lasting, makes skin glow Disadvantages: doesnt look natural, makes finelines noticeable
I bought this foundation, because as it was a powder i thought it would give a matte finish, which is what i was looking for. This is the first mineral makeup i have tried, and i found it really strange seeing the powder go onto your skin and looking like a liquid foundation. I was amazed at the coverage it gave, but it did not look natural like i was expecting. I also can give it credit that it lasted a long time. Loreal say that it is suitable for ...
