This NAS has been working exactly as advertised for the 10 months I've had it, and I'm very pleased with it. The whole setup process took me about half an hour from what I remember now. That includes reading the manual. Overall it was easy. The drive works both with Mac and PC. We have several different machines at home and I had no problem connecting them to the device. I have long wanted to connect my home desktop computer, a couple of laptops and a network drive into a single network so that I can easily exchange files. A friend of mine recommended Lacie Network Space 2, and I am very grateful to him for that. Now my whole photo archive is stored on a 2 TB network hard drive. I've set up remote access, so my family and I can easily access the files via local network or remotely. Admin interface allows to allocate disk space and assign user rights. I found LaCie Network Space 2 to be an excellent product. I like the fact that LaCie Network Space 2 is so easy to set up, it took me literally minutes before I was able to use the drive. The user interface is just great, very intuitive and fully customizable. The drive has plenty of internal storage as well as a front USB host to connect another external hard drive, which once connected becomes immediately available on the network.
