To use this your PC must have a Pentium Processor 3 or above, Windows 98 or above, USB Port, CD ROM drive, 64MB Ram and a sound card with microphone and speakers.

The Labtec Webcam is small and very light wieght, however it does its job well, I have had a prob or two getting it to sit still in the right position,this can be resolved easily enough using some tack/putty to hold it in place, due to its shape it is a little top heavey...mabe a suction pad could have been in-built to the base of it?
For its price approx £19.00, it does all you could ask of it, it comes with a CD rom which contains the downloadable ... ...clips as well using it for the normal eyeball chats.It has also been useful for taking photos that can be downloaded as profile pictures on web sites, and snapping the kids near the monitor screen to send to grandma!
The focusing leaves just a little to be desired, and you do need the lighting to be right, I have found myself looking green once or twice.
Over-all it is a useful item to have and in this case you feel you have got a little more then ...

The labtec webcam was my first webcam that I purchased before getting the Webcam Pro. At first I bought this item for around £5 and at that price I couldn't really argue since I personally find I got my money's worth out of it.
Quality-wise this camera isn't the best, I admit that. You can manage to take some OK (low resolution - 352 x 288) pictures or videos with it providing you manage to successfully focus the darn thing (I struggled at one point ... ...that the camera is just about good enough to deliver half-decent images on windows live messenger, skype etc.
Just like the Webcam Pro, this webcam also suffers from bad lighting effects. It fails to work in dark environments, or extremely light ones for that matter. This means that you have to spend a lot of time actually trying to find a suitable place to put your camera to ensure the best quality image, which by the time you have finished isn't ...

This Labtec Webacam is a cheap, plug and play digital webcamera that is perfect for someone looking at a basic camera for instant messaging or creating basic home movies from their computer. I purchased a cam in July last year, persuaded by my friend because he had moved to London and he claimed it would enhance my chat experiences.
I searched through the Argos pages trying to find one that would be suited to me, and after weighing up the pros and cons I decided on this one! As a starter cam, especially for a new inexperienced cam/chat user, this is an ideal purchase. It might not be wireless so you can take it with you to take pictures, ... ...feature to get an even closer picture of yourself, nor does it have a build in microphone, but all these are insignificant if your looking for just a webcam that isn't too costly and that is reliable.
Initially with the intention of keeping this webcam for two months and upgrading, I've found myself hanging onto it with dear life. It does the job I want it to do.

The Labtec webcam is literally a bundle of lightweight stylish fun.
The camera is very small and portable. It comes in white and looks rather snazzy.
The camera plugs into the USB port of your computer. This is quite handy, however the only complaint i would have is that the wire connecting the camera to the USB isn't very long.
The webcam comes with a CD with software that you must install on it. The installation is very simple and straight-forward. ... ...to MS Paint.
The Labtec webcam takes 30fps (frames per second), this means that there is perfect quality in your videos. This is infact faster than most cartoons which usually take about 24fps!
All in all this software is very good, however i did have one problem when using the software, because it would not allow me to make videos at first, but i sorted that out quickly.

I purchased this webcam a while back and it is yet another component which I keep having to dive underneath my computer to keep plugging in.
It is very food for taknig little films on from your computer and has quite impressive graphics and will keep up with where you are going. It sits nicely on your computer and it not bulky so only takes up a small amount of room.
However if you are buying it for Instant Messaging applications I would not recommend ... ...movements, so if you try to wave to somebody you would see your arm start, then stop and the reappear where you have finished.
It will work on even the most old and simple systems (within reason) so for just a cheap webcam for messing about with I would say this is a good one to go for with it being one of the cheapest on the market.

This cam is very easy to install and use, and was the cheapest in the shop!
As a beginner in webcams i was very pleased to find the instructions easy to follow.
I have a dial up connection, so was expecting a very jerky picture, but i was quite surprised that it was actually good quality, and it is easy to adjust the contrast/brightness etc.
Picture quality overall is very good for the price ( i paid £12.99, and didn't see an obvious difference ... ...known makes)
The cam is small and a cool silver colour, and has a nice long lead.
The only thing i would change about it would be the little stand it comes with, which is very basic and has no swivel, sometimes I struggle to get the camera to stay level. This is only a small inconvienience, however, and would not stop me from recommeding this camera to a friend. ...
