Labtec Pulse 485

...had decided upon was a Labtec Pulse 485 system, Argos were selling these for just £29.99 and so off I went. My first impression when I got my new purchase home was how incredibly light it felt. The big box which I later learned to be called a subwoofer was the perfect size and the two speakers were so slim-lime it was incredible. I am very pleased with these speakers. They are very good for their price and have very good sound quality. There is one large subwoofer and a left and a right speaker. Sound Quality. I purchaed this set of speakers from maplins a few months ago, and they are brilliant for the price!, The only down side is the volume/bass controls are on the back of the subwoofer, It would have been nice to have a seperate unit for on top of the desk like i have seen with other makes. Sound Quality is awesome on games, or just music, Bass is good. ...

Not being an expert in the matter, I compared the price / watts ratio and found this system to be pretty good value on paper at least. I had never heard of Labtec before so I wasnt sure whether to go for the cheap system or spend £5 or £10 more on a brand like Creative or Philips, but decided to take the risk. Have owned some cheaper speakers before and these seem to be in a different class, for just a few pounds extra.
