    I'm a university student, and a reasonably skint one at that. When it comes to clothes, shoes and accessories, I confess to being a bit of a girly cliche; I can't get enough of pretty, sparkly, shiny things; the cheaper the better. A bit of a magpie I suppose! However, I'm not and never have been much of a make up junkie. I wear it every now and then when I've got a while to spend applying it and playing with different looks, but I'm certainly not a "can't leave the house without putting my face on" girl.     There has been a lot of publicity about this product and the hype certainly drew my attention to the Lancome counter. Can it really be as great as the celebs claim? Will this really be a lip gloss I can wear day to day without feeling gooey and too 'made-up'?     Introduction I received a free Lancome Juicy Tubes 7g (half-size) Lip Gloss at a Lancome counter when purchasing other products from them. I only ever used them as a gloss for going out and was impressed it's long lasting rich and glossy. formula. When my lips recently became cracked and my Palmer's Dark Chocolate and Cherry Lip Balm didn't help, having nothing else to use, I resorted to the Lip Gloss to protect my chapped lips.     Lancome's Juicy Tubes have been available for a while and as a fan of glosses and balms I bought one for myself as treat. The Gloss comes in 15ml tubes with a screw cap. There is no 'wand' but, instead, a hole in the tip of the tube which the gloss is squeezed out of - then you just use the rounded end of the tube to spread the gloss. Very easy. I guess a mirror is ideal but you can manage without. The texture is good. It is a little sticky for my liking but this is probably why the stuff has such good lasting power.     I've been meaning to try this product for a while and I knew that I would have to pay around £13 for it so I thought I'd wait until I next went on holiday so I could find it cheaper. Call me a meanie but £13 is WAY too expensive for this gal, even if we are talking about a Lancome product! My wish was granted when I saw a travel gift pack in the Duty Free shop at Gatwick airport.     I love buying beauty products. It’s my weakness (well, that and white chocolate Smarties bars).     I have been craving for one of these since I first saw a magazine advert for them. The packagin is very sophisticated and the colours are gorgeous, but then I saw the price advertised and that put me straight off. There was no way I was going to spend £11 on a lip gloss! The one day on one of my frequent shopping ventures I stopped at the Lancome beauty counter in Debenhams and tried some of these juicy treasures. I was instantly in love.     Introduction # I do find that most lip products that can be found on the market tend to clog up, and not do much for your lips so i went out to find a more expensive item for my lips which would hopefully do the job i wanted.
