Advantages: Perfect curled lashes - an all in one product! Disadvantages: Slightly tricky to apply
...some reviews, and decided on Lancome Fatale - then found it to be out of stock everywhere I tried! So I went on the Lancome website and tried their handy little mascara diagnosis tool, which told me I needed Virtuose mascara for my lash type - long, thick and black, but absolutely straight with no curl. So I popped into Boots and bought it tonight, put it straight on and....oooh! ===The Packaging=== Simple matt silver card box with black Lancome ... ...slippery to the touch, the Lancome logo in gold on the applicator handle with the Lancome gold rose below. The most interesting part is the shape - it is curved like a banana, ending in a truncated point at the applicator end. ===Applying=== The mascara brush is curved like the tube, into a gentle almost-semicircle. The brush itself is quite thin (although having been used to Benefit BadGal which has the HUGEST brush ever I might have lost perspective). ...

Advantages: easy application, lengthens, natural look, no clumps Disadvantages: expensive, lack of volume, does not curl lashes
I have straight, black, medium length, thick strands but not so full lashes. What I wanted was a mascara that would give me curl, volume, and length. Before using _Lancome Virtuose_ I curled my eyelashes using Shu Uemura lash curler, then started applying the mascara. ===What I like:===
* The curved brush is great, it reaches the shorter inner lashes easily
* It doesnt clump, at all
* It lengthens the lashes
* Although it's not waterproof, it ... ...doesn't give volume - as in, my lashes still looks sparse
* I have to apply curler again as the lashes straightens out after mascara application, but the mascara dries pretty quickly, so re-curling isn't a messy job
* Expensive
===Conclusion===
What I find special about this mascara is, even though after applying, my cureled lashes straighten up again, thoughout the day I can press my finger on the lashes to give it a bit of curl - it doesn't ...
