Advantages Advantages Robust, Powerful, and Comfortable, Good Value @ Left Hand drive

Disadvantages Disadvantages Extremely Poor Traction, Poor Braking System, Fickle and easily worn tyres (unless with a purchase of a good set of good years for exmaple) Inconvenient and well, useless differentiation facilities, Radio is fickle and performs poorly over excessive use,

    * INITIAL NOTE * As many people may already know, I live in the UAE, and often travel to Oman and the desert of Dubai, and by many 4 x 4 standards, truly off road (not dropping the kids off at school - the typical stereotype of the 4x4 use in Britain) * OUR CAR HISTORY * We travelled in a 1998 model, which was recently bought for AED 42,750 ( or approximately £7000). Advantages Advantages Powerful and fun.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Minor niggles and fuel economy.

Unfortuantly I had to sell it as it required alot of expense for the MOT, but if there had been no problems with it I would have kept ... more

Advantages Advantages Towing limit, Space, 7 Seats, Superb engine, Superb drive.

Disadvantages Disadvantages MPG if your still on normal fuel.

There has never been a better time to buy a V8 Disco or indeed, with the Police clamping down on towing regulations, a bigger need. We purchased this Car (a 1991 5 door with 92,000mls) for the 3500kg towing capacity which makes it one of the very few vehicles which can legally tow a surprising array of the common trailers. For example our rather modest sports cruising boat is way outside your average cars limit, as is a two horse trailer. The V8 engine is just superb and with an LPG conversion it is very cheap to run. The car is a joy to drive with tons of room for the family and at a cost of ... more
