Leap Frog's Counting Pal.
This was certainly one toy that I really couldn't wait to get for Jack. I have two other friends with children and they both have it for their and when I was visiting them I just couldn't help myself from playing with it. I really am just a big kid at heart. So before Jack was even bought I had ordered this toy from Amazon and it was waiting for his arrival. Although he didn't really appreciate the brilliance ... ...so old, I have had hours of fun learning the sounds and the jazzy rhymes since day one.
The toy cost around £13 from Amazon and this came with free post and packaging. To look at the toy what your getting is a multicoloured soft caterpillar toy with numbers on the different body sections and things dangling from each of these said sections. My son recieved two of these for christmas and it's had so much use already I'm pretty sure I'm worthy enough to review it.
When we opened it up for him I was pretty sure it would be another one of those mediocre baby toys that is a bit of waste of money but how wrong was I? This toy is one of the best I have seen around and I am so impressed with it.
The actual toy is a soft, colourful caterpillar who has a big smiley face and a green and white ... ...each one is a different colour and has a different number on it from 1 to 5. The feet of the caterpillar have a couple of creatures on them relating to the different numbers, so for example one blue bird and five red caterpillars.
The caterpillar's neck is green and has the different modes on it. Starting from the top there is an on/off button then the numbers mode and underneath that is the colours mode then the classical music and lastly the musical ...

My little girl loves this!
We bought this when my little girl was around four months old. She seemed to be getting a bit bored of her newborn toys so we wanted something that would stimulate her a bit more.
Its ideal because it has bright colours which she started to be able to see better and get more out of. It has something under each number section of the caterpillar for her to touch and each one has a different sensory experience for her. Under ... ...a squeeker in it, number two has two butterflies and a rattle, three has three bumble bees and that is a crunchy texture, four is a ring with four purple flowers on it and five has five red ladybirds with a bell noise. These all co-ordinate with the coloured sections of the caterpillar and the numbers. The numbered sections do different things depending on which button you press around the neck of the caterpillar.
