    Disadvantages Disadvantages The bottle isn't very informative, you're buggered if it rains and you forget your umbrella!

    After recently buying some new straighteners, which went up to the terrifying heat of 190°C, I thought it would be a good idea to purchase some kind of protection spray for my hair. I wanted to try and minimise the damage done to my hair by the straighteners, as no matter what the manufacturers say, there’s no possible way that using ceramics is actually good for your hair.     When it comes to hair lotions and hair potions, creams, balms, wax, mousse, spray, leave in hair care, taming water etc… ive got the lot and ive tried them all.     I've decided to write this review on the Lee Stafford Poker straight range. I first decided to buy this when I saw it in Boots and thought that I really should buy something to protect my hair from the daily (or now every other day, due to my new obsession-CURLING TONGS!!!) wear and tear from Straighteners. ~~~What's the packaging like?~~~ The shampoo and conditioner come in quite short, wide bottles with the tops you push down half the side to allow the product to come out the other side (not sure what they're called).     *** A review of Lee Stafford Heat Protection Straightening Mist (unable to add specific product to catalogue) *** I’m not usually a fan of straightening sprays, or mists as they’re sometimes referred to. Generally speaking they seem to be more expensive than shampoos and conditioners themselves, not only that but I find they do nothing for the protection of my hair, they leave it with a sticky residue… and after drying and straightening my hair I sometimes forget to even use it!     I never heard or seen this product until one day I went to my friends toilet and I spotted this brightly coloured bottle on the bathroom cabinet, me being nosey picked up the bottle to look closer I sprayed the bottle into the air, and I were greeted by this wonderful mist and this sweet scent, I were amazed our good it smelt.     I heard about this product whilst searching for an alternative to the discontinued John Frieda Beach Blonde Ocean Waves. A statement on the John Frieda website said that they had brought out a new product to replace it (why they couldn't just start manufacturing it again is beyond me!), which was a spray wax. Having searched around on the Boots website, I've found that this isn't available in the UK, but a search for spray wax turned up the Lee Stafford product.     Whilst shopping in Boots a few months ago i stumbled upon a range of products by the name of - Lee Stafford. This was not a make i was familiar with but as all the products in the range were a funky fuscia colour i felt drawn to find out more about this jazzy stuff!! Glancing along the shelves i could see that you could purchase shampoos, conditioners and the like all for different hair types. The range caters for curly tops, full on big hair, coloured hair or the kind i like best - poker straight. Righto - the poker straight was for me.     I suppose with any hair product review, it helps if you know the reviewer's hair type. I have layers in my hair and my hair has a nice natural wave when washed and naturally dried. It has light texture and is sort of fine/medium. If I sleep, my hair becomes a mess which varies from quite cool, to nightmarish, I just have hair that sticks in whatever position I sleep in! As a result I have been straightening my hair nearly everyday since I was 15. That's 5 years, and unbelievably, I only started to use heat protection spray last year (I know that is bad).
