LEWIS DESTROYS RAHMAN IN THE 4th

AdvantagesGreatest fighter around

DisadvantagesNobody left in his league

"...a very unfit and unprepared Lennox Lewis enter the ring against a mediocre oppenant in South Africa only to be knocked out and lose both his titles in one lucky blow amde by a man who should not even have been in the same ring as Lennox. But last night the true Lennox lewis shone through and this time there were no excess pounds or sluggish moves he truely looked like the Lennox Lewis I remember winning all those years ago for Canada in the Olympics ..." His middle name is Claudius...poor guy

AdvantagesPower, size, he's british >_>

DisadvantagesLost fights he should have won

"...West Ham, London, England as Lennox Claudius Lewis (can we blame him for hiding the Roman name? Poor guy must have had it ripped out of him for that) and moved to Kitchener, Ontario, Canada when he was 12. Here he excelled at sports including Basketball, Soccer (Football damnit) and Canadian football (which I presume is a bit like rugby for wuss's with pads >_>) as well as boxing which he decided to take up properly. Canda and the Ama's: With ..." Read review

Great!!

AdvantagesBrilliant!!

DisadvantagesIs he too nice!! - I don't think so!

"...establish just who would win. Lennox Lewis had a far greater reach advantage, which nowadays seems to give away the winner of a fight! No disrespect to any fighter, but if your arm is shorter than your opponents, then how do you expect to get a combination of punches in, especially if the opponents tactics are to keep you out with his jab! But what I am trying to say is FAIR PLAY LENNOX - THE GREATEST BOXER EVER!! (And he's a nice guy too!) Bring ..." Read review

What a SHOCK

AdvantagesSHOULD HAVE WON

DisadvantagesLOST ALL HIS TITLES

"I was very surprised that Lennox Lewis lost to Rahman in South Africa in the early hours of the morning. But, the preparation for the fight from Lewis wasn’t good. He came late to the country and therefore didn’t have enough time to climates, he was overweight compared to his previous fights, and generally he thought this was to be a stroll in the park. But, it wasn’t Rahman was prepared he worked hard and at the end it only ..." Read review

The Greatest

AdvantagesEverything

DisadvantagesOther fighters ducking out from facing him

"Lennox Lewis is the greatest heavyweight ever. That's what I think at least. Why do I say this? Well the evidence speaks for its self. Who else has held a version of the heavy weight tile as long as he has? He's faced more or less everyone who he's been told to. When I say more less everyone. I include Riddick Bowe and Mike Tyson. Both men, by various ways and means have ducked out from fighting him. Bowe put his title -when he refused to face him- ..." Read review

Instant Brit

Advantages

Disadvantages

"For many years Lennox Lewis had to endure the cold shoulder of the British fight scene. "He's not really British, you know" was heard every time an announcer would tell the tv audience where Lewis hailed from. He honed his skills elsewhere, so he couldn't be truly British...sound like a certain tennis player as well? As soon as he became the heavyweight champ, though, everybody loved the true Brit and knew the neighbourhood where he was born and all ..." Read review

Bring on the best

Advantages-

Disadvantages-

"Lennox Lewis in my view is an excellent fighter in my view but in some people’s view his ultimate test will be against Mike Tyson, and if he comes through that then he will be recognised more. His overwhelming victory over David Tua last year confirmed his status as the best Heavyweight. Their seems to be problems with a Mike Tyson fight as the deals seems off. That for me will be his ultimate test, I don’t think that there are as ..." Read review

Preperation Vs. Over-Confidence

AdvantagesGreat technical fighter

Disadvantagesnot M. Ali, and needs to know it

"...a lot of talk about Lennox not being prepared to fight Rahman, such as not giving himself time to adjust to the altitude in Africa. Well in my opinion lack of preperation had nothing to do with it. With the amount of adrenaline pumping through a boxer in a stadium like that, thin air will not make the slightest bit of difference to the way they fight. Lennox, as everyone who watched the fight will know was getting a little cocky and got caught out ..." Read review

Lennox vs Rahman 17th Nov 2001

AdvantagesLennox is British and the best at what he does. How often do you get people like that in Britain?

DisadvantagesHis weight and speed, could be picked on by Rahman.

"...one of the Heavyweight belts, Lennox Lewis fought Hasim 'The Rock' Rahman, our British-Canadian heavyweight, was knocked out in Johannesburg, South Africa. Since that fight Rahman has become the latest of the legendary Don King's fighters and got in a 'punch up' live on American TV. The re-match, on November 17th in Las Vegas, Nevada will be a night to remember. Lennox has not fought since he lost, but now he will be raring to go. Rahman will also ..." Read review

human Pay Per View machine

AdvantagesWorld's best boxer at the moment

DisadvantagesYou have to pay to see the guy fight

"Lennox Lewis. The greatest boxer of the present era. Indestructible. Undefeatable. Innedible. (Tyson likes the taste of people doesn't he?) But with wrestling becoming more and more like the WWF marketing machine, you can't see a fight without shelling out up to £20, and for pubs and clubs the Pay Per View price is completely extortionate. In real terms they have to sell twice as many drinks to break even on average. So is it worth it? In my opinion, ..." Read review

Lenoc Lewis a Class Above the Rest

AdvantagesOrsome power in both hands

DisadvantagesDoesnt have enough fights in the UK

"Having watched the Lennox Lewis Vs. Botha match last night, i am now in no dought that there is currently no heavyweight boxer that can match Lewis in the ring. His power, from both hands, is incredible. For those of you who didn't see the fight it started of with a slowish first round, Lewis simply taking his time and getting the odd jab through, he rocked Botha in the first round and to be fair the guy did well to keep his balance for a big ..." Lennox v Tyson??

AdvantagesBest Heavyweight

Disadvantages

"Well Lennox has done it again!!! In my view Lennox is one of the greatest boxers ever. Its such a shame he will not be fighting in England again after saturdays match. So will the Lennox / Tyson fight actually go ahead after all? apparently its now being booked for next spring. Surely this will be (if tyson is at his best) one of the best fights we will see. I just hope that all the promoters can actually get this fight together and Lennox can prove ..." Read review

Champion of the World

Advantagessuperb sport

Disadvantagespeople get hurt big time

"...who loves boxing and rates Lennox as a true champ he has destroyed the man who beat Tyson twice, and yet he continues too fight mickey mouse boxers. Why is it that there are fighter out there that in my opinion are formidable oponents, example a certain 6 foot 7 Ukraine who destroys everything in his path, and yet the challengers Lennox faces are in my opinion a pile of pants. Is it that the fighter at the top is given a list of people in his division ..." Read review

Rumble In the Neon.

AdvantagesMean Lean fighting machine!

DisadvantagesNearing the end of his line.

"It is wonderful to see that Lewis is once again on top form and it will be even more wonderful to see him knock Mr Iron Mike Tyson out of the ring. It really hurt to see Lewis get beaten by Rahman in Johannesburg all that tie ago, but i think it was good for him, cause now he is hungry, hungry to prove himself once again and to finally settle the dispute (Who is greater, Tyson or Lewis), well all i can say is i hope he trains hard and makes it the ..."
