Advantages: Built in webcam. fingerprint recognition that works, good customer support. Disadvantages: Slightly sluggish compared to some higher end machines.
I own a Lenovo 3000 N100 and use it daily for personal use. I also use a Dell Latitude D620 for work, but I will try not to compare them too much to each other in this review.
I acquired the Lenovo after my previous Laptop (a Medion) died and couldn't be resurrected by the Insurance company - so I didn't actually go out and buy this one specifically. In actual fact, it is much better than my Medion, although this may be due to the passage of time ... ...it:

The fingerprint scanner is a nice feature. It comes with some software that allows you to pre-fill known websites with your details (e.g. Ciao, Hotmail etc.) and every time you go to that website it asks you to scan your finger. One scan populates the ...

The thing that impressed me the most, is how accessible the internal components are, for instance, I recently upgraded my memory to around 1 1/2 gig, and all I had to do was use open the small trapdoor underneath of the notebook and install the memory. There is also a door for the hard drive as well.

After taking new Lenovo 3000 N100 Laptop from showroom, I hardly could use it for 2 hours. The hard disk ( I was surprised to see Lenovo using hard disk from another make) was giving no response. I took it to IBM service center next working day, the service center people asked me to leave it there and to pick it next day. Next day I went there to collect the laptop, but they told me they will have to replace the hard disk and they don't have a hard ...
