Advantages Advantages Good build quality, includes Vista, reasonable performance

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not sure about the Lenovo Suite of Programs included

Lenovo N200 3000 0769 B5G Laptop I took delivery of my IBM/Lenovo Laptop from laptopsdirect.co.uk about 10 days or so ago. The price on the website is £429.97 however, I took a chance and opted for a 'box-opened' model at the price of £407.44. I ordered on a Sunday evening and received it on Tuesday lunchtime at a cost of £17.57. On opening the box I found: 1 x laptop 1 x power cable 1 x Lenovo Service and Troubleshooting Guide 1 x Safety and Warranty Guide 1 x Quick Start Guide and various regulatory notices. The machine was in pristine condition despite the price reduction (the website does ... more

Advantages Advantages Nicely put together, full featured entry level notebook

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None yet

From the moment I unpacked this little laptop I have been impressed. For one thing it came with a fully charged battery which is a nice touch and indeed everything about it is geared towards zero effort on the user's part. I was attracted to Lenovo because of the impressive specs for the money and reputation for reliability. A friend recommended them to me and without him I probably wouldn't have thought to go with them as all I had seen of them previously was a name on the Williams F1 car. I originally intended to install Ubuntu Linux on this machine as it was advertised as Vista ready not as ... more

Advantages Advantages Dual Core Processor, Fingerprint sensor

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Weight, size

I bought this laptop about 4 months ago, and it was so worth it! It may be bigger than some laptops but feels a lot more substantial. So far Vista has not caused any problems - fingers crossed - however I have not installed many new programs so have not had to search for patches. The lenovo maintenance and security options have proved useful. Bit slow to start up, but that could be due to the fact that i havnt taken as much care with it as it should. Also, the battery life is not the best, but the use of power saver option improves this greatly in my opinion. Dual core processor has made this ... more

    Advantages Advantages everything

Disadvantages Disadvantages volume not very loud

I've had my laptop since december 07 and love it, id be lost without it now. It does everything I want it to, its fast and very reailble, comes with wireless, finger reader so no typing in your passed word and many more features, won't pretend I know alot about computers but this has been above my expectations for the money and would definately recommend it, the only one disappointing thing was the volume its not very loud on full but you can buy speakers and it hasn't really been a problem. Also don't be put off my the name Lenovo I nearly was as Id never heard of them before, but Lenovo took ... more

    5 Stars Quick review of Lenovo 3000 N200 0769 - Core 2 Duo T5250 1.5 GHz - 15.4\ by marchondowntheline 12/02/2008
A really good reliable laptop where any problems are quickly remidied. Only minor problem is a lack of a proper instruction manual which would be beneficial. The keyboard is easy to type on and the speed is excellent. The screen quality is the best I've seen for a laptop.

Advantages Advantages fast enough for document work

Disadvantages Disadvantages you can't even play HL2-Episode 2 with medium settings

It is now complete 1 year since i bought this laptop. I was completely sure about the brand name and its abilities. i bought it from a Lenovo certified shop and i am sure that this was a genuine thing with no modifications at all. At first it worked really fine, as all other computers do. I could play low end games on low settings, view movies without any technical interference, work on my softwares flawlessly. But as it grew bit older, may be just 3 months older, it started to created problems. The fan became too much noisy and used to start vibrantly even when at rest. The touch pad used to ... more

I bought this laptop in mid september, 2007 and it has been really good. It can handle all the college works, plus graphics softwares quite well, and can manage some games. Plus the price is very good according to the specs of this laptop. I love it

Advantages Advantages Good for office applications, quality build and screen

    Disadvantages Disadvantages not for gaming

Laptop came with useful fingerprint recognition security feature. Coped well with moderate office tasks and programming tasks. Visual Studio 2008 and iTunes multitasking without difficulty. Good keyboard layout and responsive keys. All round build quality quite good. Not capable of running games but this is not targeted at gamers so scarcely a criticism. 17 inch screen means this a little heavier than smaller systems, but for a desktop replacement it is not overly heavy. Depending on where you purchase this system, it can be very good value. The Lenovo site itself tends to be more expensive ... more
