Levellers (Thetford Forest)

I recently saw the Levellers live in Thetford Forest, and would describe it as my best night out in years. I have seen the Levellers before, but I have to say that the outdoor gigs are always the best. There were two backup bands, Headspace (I think) and Bleeding Hearts. They were both acceptable levellers suport bands, with Bleeding Hearts being the better of the two. Things, though, didn't get really going until the Levellers came on. Despite having been a fan for a few years this was the first time i had seen the levellers live. all i can say is WOW!!! i am now a total convert. their music is meaningful (can you say that about any 'pop' band?) and great to dance to and generally jump around to. the atmosphere at this particular gig was great,the setting, being in a forest clearing,was speactacular especially as it got dark and the facilities were good. if you haven't been to see this band live then you don't know what you are missing and should go and find out NOW! i'm sure any levellers fan doesn't need telling this but ... more
