Advantages Advantages Tastes great (I like hot sauces) and it is very versatile (it can be used with almost anything)

Disadvantages Disadvantages The bottle doesn't last long. : (

It was whilst watching Dragon’s Den back in 2007 that I became familiar with the name Reggae Reggae sauce. It was the lyrical and musical talent of the Jamaican reggae singer Levi Root that persuaded two Dragons, Peter Jones and Richard Farleigh, to put in £25,000 each for a 20% stake of the company. The Dragons obviously spotted an excellent investment opportunity that has subsequently come to fruition for them. It is estimated that this brand is now worth millions. Levi Root is no business man, that was clearly evident from his presentation to the Dragons and if it was not for both the ... more

Advantages Advantages A tasty and spicy addition to any meal.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Much better value when on offer!

After watching a particularly enjoyable episode of “Dragon’s den”, and being entertained by a delightful man with very long dreadlocks and a fabulous name (Levi Roots), I thought nothing more of the investment he received from one of the dragon’s for his families secret recipe jerk BBQ sauce…..until spotting it on the shelves of my local Asda on special offer for just £1.00 a bottle, the sauce was of course one of our cupboard staples - “reggae reggae sauce”. I was of course intrigued and popped a bottle in my trolley and carried on shopping. Again it completely slipped my mind until serving ... more

Advantages Advantages Tasty with lots of things

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A little addictive!

A few years ago, if you heard the name Levi Roots, you might have thought that was the name of a new style jeans. Now Levi Roots, the likeable dreadlocked musician turned chef, is a household name due to his successful appearance on Dragon's Den, the launch of his hugely popular Reggae Reggae sauce, TV series, cookery books and now many spin off products. It all started when Levi's grandmother entrusted her recipe jerk barbecue sauce to him. Still a secret, but Levi thought the world should have some 'music in their food', a visit to the Dragon's Den catapulted him to stardom and Reggae Reggae ... more

Advantages Advantages Delicious taste, reasonable price, good packaging, works well with lots of things.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None.

I am a fan of anything that is BBQ related (yum yum!) and when I finally saw this on the shelves of my local Tesco store at just 96p I could barely contain my excitement! I promptly picked up one of the 310g bottles and put it in my basket along with some chicken, tortillas and a packet of fajita seasoning. Reggae Reggae Sauce is a Jamaican jerk spice made by Levi Roots' who appeared on the 2007 series of Dragons' Den and convinced two of the dragons to put some money in to his business for a stake in his company. Since then the product was initially taken on by Sainsburys' but it is now ... more

Advantages Advantages Very versatile, not over priced, and tastes great if you like spices.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be off putting if you're not fond of brown sauce.

We rather enjoy a barbeque, and durring the summers, we spend quite a few sunny afternoons and into the evening sat in the garden (either ours or friends) cooking, eating, chatting and generally having a good time. On this occasion we were round at a friends and had taken some food over there instead of them coming to us. Why theirs - well coz they had a new baby so doing it there was easier for them, and we didn't mind. It was at their place that we first came across Reggae Reggae sauce. Now hubby is a regular hot freak, and I'm not adverse to a bit of spice in my food, so this went down ... more

Advantages Advantages Tasty, nutty treat to enjoy on the go

Disadvantages Disadvantages You may have to eat more than one bag!

I love Levi Roots Reggae Reggae sauce and so I was excited to find out that he now has Reggae Reggae flavoured nuts!! Reggae Reggae Peanuts & Cashews - a combination of peanuts and cashews are covered in the delicious Reggae Reggae dressing and then baked in the oven. Great for putting in a lunch box or snacking at work. Plus, the World Cup is coming up and guaranteed your mates will be well impressed if you get the Reggae Reggae nuts in, whilst you sit with a beer in front of the flat screen! Get yourself to Tesco. I bought mine for £1.29 for a 90g bag they are most definitely worth a try. I ... more
