Cheap Compact Colour Printer

AdvantagesCheap, reliable, easy to use, suitable for PC and Mac.

DisadvantagesUSB cable not supplied, expensive ink cartridges.

"...PC and Mac. Looks and Set-Up ================ The Lexmark Z25 caught our eyes fairly quickly as it was one of the cheapest available - about £30 at the time. We played with the display model and decided it was reasonably sturdy and attractive, compared with some of the others in its price range. The support for the paper (as it's manual loading) folds down over the printer but when erect can certainly support quite a hefty amount of paper. ..." Read review

Lexmark Z25 - sprinter printer

AdvantagesSmall, fast and cheap

DisadvantagesDoesn't come with a USB cable

"Lexmark Z25L I recently resigned from my job in a multi-national company to take up a position in a local franchise with only a few staff members. What does this have to do with writing an op about a printer? Simply that, once I had resigned, it occurred to me that I would no longer be able to use company printers and paper to print off my personal letters. Letís be honest, in an office of 50 or so people, you can get away with printing personal ..." Read review

Cheap but not so tacky

Advantagescheap, easy to use and reliable

Disadvantagesink cartridges are really expensive

"...very old, very well used Lexmark printer finally gave up the ghost. Typical! As a student, I quickly found that a printer was an essential, but I obviously didn't have shedloads of cash to splash out on a top of the range one. So, I headed off to my nearest PC World with the single aim of buying the cheapest (and I do mean the VERY cheapest) printer they had in stock. This just happened to be the Lexmark Z25 - a snip at a very measly £30. It came ..." Read review

How to bankrupt yourself using just a printer!

AdvantagesInitially very cheap.

DisadvantagesExpensive in the long run, duff paper feeder.

"...that attracted me to the Lexmark Z25L is that it is one of the cheapest Inkjet printers around. Being a poor student at the time the printer was an obvious way to save some money. I have to say that after parting with my money I had some reservations, after all a printer that costs less than £25 must have some faults I just hoped that they weren't that major. The manufacturers inform you that that the printer prints at 9 pages per minute (ppm) ..." Read review

Lexmark Z25 good printer

AdvantagesCheap and small

Disadvantagescartridges cost quite alot

"The Lexmark Z25 After my old inkjet printer died painfully and expensively it was time for me to purchase another. Being quite naÔve I just thought I just though that a printer was a printer. I was really looking for the cheapest printer around and this puppy turned up for £22.50. I snapped it up and home it came, only to find that it came with the software but no cable to connect it to you computer. I popped back to the shop bought myself ..." Read review

ideal for moderate use

Advantageslow priced printer

Disadvantageshigh priced ink cartridges

"...wouldn't be using too often. The Lexmark Z25 was just about the cheapest i could find during my search of 3 different PC shops. I have found it to be EXTREMELY easy to use - and i am not one of these PC buffs - and have even, on one occasion, had cause to ring the Lexmark help-number (for something which turned out to be my own foolish mistake) and found them to be very helpful. I don't do anything to maintain it at all; it's sitting on the edge ..." Read review

Lexmark Z25-Approach with caution

AdvantagesVery Cheap

DisadvantagesUnreliable, low quality

"...print document button, and the Lexmark printing window came up, but the computer froze up and the printer refused to print, which, needless to say, was incredibly frustrating. Again, I have never encountered this problem with any other printer I have ever had. I was unable to resolve this problem and in the end had to get rid of the printer and buy another because it simply was not doing anything! Along with these two specific problems, I found ..." Affordable and compact printer - Easy to use!

AdvantagesAffordable, Wide Selection of Options, Nice Looking

DisadvantagesTech Issues with USB sometimes, Paper Feeder poor

"I have two of these printers due to their low price. They are both reliable and have had no mechanical faults. Some issues arise if you boot up with it switched off I have found and the paper feeder will sometimes feed through a little off centre. As far as the software is concerned its great. You can select automatic options for speed or quality, while also being able to adust all the other bits and pieces. Also has an aligning facility for ..." Read review

Cheap as Chips

AdvantagesCheap as Chips

DisadvantagesNo USB Cable

"Very low priced yet practical printer. Easy setup and use. New cartridges are expensive but the refill kits currently available easily refill the black cartridge, however as of yet I haven't been as successful with the colour cartridge. The print quality is quite amazing for such a low priced device and a new catridge should last the average user a considerable time. As I have indicated refilling the black catridge reduces costs significantly. ..." Read review

Not very satisfactory

AdvantagesIt was relatively cheap

DisadvantagesInk cartridges are expensive

"We purchased the Lexmark Z25 to accompany our ME Windows PC. Listed below are some positives and negatives that I have personally found. The negatives unfortunately far outweigh the positives, in my opinion. Whilst the printer is quite compact and very light, it consequently gives the printer a flimsy feel. The printer is able to print in colour and black print, however if you are printing material that includes colour, it does use the cartridge ..." Read review
