I brought my gate from the catalogue when my little girl started crawling, she would follow me everywhere. I lived in a small flat and my cooker was right by the door to the lounge. I was scared to leave the door to the kitchen open when I would be cooking as she was using the oven door a lever to raise herself up. We spent over £20 on one of these from argos, after finding that ebay prices often exceeded the RRP. That was back in April, and we haven't been using the gate for its intended purpose - it keeps the puppy out of the kitchen - but we're still disappointed by the flimsy handle and think that it would have broken anyway. I bust it the other day by getting a bit caught on the handle when it was in an upright position. On the positive side, the gate was extremely easy to mount securely, and we could have moved it around the house without leaving marks or indentations on the door frames - it is a very good design in this respect. ...
