Advantages: Ideal for pureeing baby food; Compact; Easy to clean Disadvantages: Takes a long time to puree; Small lumps of food can still be left.
...and Figures *****
The Lindam mini blender cost £14.97 in Tescos. I have not seen the blender in any other shops, so I don't know if it would be cheaper elsewhere.
The blender is specifically designed for pureeing and blending food for babies and toddlers.
The overall size of the blender is approximately 18 cm long, 10cm wide and 12cm high, so it is small and compact, hence its name. The blender takes up very little space within the kitchen and ... ...The blender consists of a base unit, a bowl (with measurements on the side in 'ml' and 'oz'), a removeable blade, a lid and a push button to operate.
The blender holds a maximum of 50g or 350ml or 12oz.

Advantages: Great storage, lightweight, easy to clean blends bumps and meat fantastically. Disadvantages: none
When I first started weaning my baby, I gave her jars at first from the supermarket. They were convenient and lets face it easy! However you don't really know what actually goes into them. I saw this on offer in Asda and thought PERFECT! I tried it out ... ...ideal for weaning. It blends any veg, any meat and any fruit with no problems. It has a measuring guide on the side so you know exactly how much you've made and it's very easy to use! The blender will not run unless the parts have clicked together which is a great safety feature. It's very easy to store as it's a bit smaller than an iron - but not as heavy, it's very lightweight. Easy to take around your mums for Sunday dinner and do a meal there!! ...

Advantages: Small so does not take up much space on work surface. Disadvantages: Have to keep button pushed down until food blended.
I bought this recently & am quite impressed with the results from such a small blender. It takes a fair amount of food (i usually get about 6 meals for my 4 month old) & blends nicely. There may be a few tiny lumps but nothing my son couldn't cope with. The blades will not work unless the lid is sealed properly which is a plus on the safety side. On the down side, rather than being able to flick an 'on' switch until it's blended, you have to push ...
