Lineone have provided me so far with a trouble free service and offer a very competitive deal. I am on the unlimited weekend and off peak tariff and apart from the odd disconnection has been trouble free. I 've read a lot of the reports on Ciao about Lineone and they are taking some stick over the quip debacle. But don't let that cloud the issue. Regarding the disconnection thing . Lineone offer local call rate access (who wants that!) which is totally free or lineone surftime meaning free internet calls at offpeak times(evenings,weekends) for a fee of £10 a month with peak access only charged at 1p a minute. LineOne is an ISP for which you pay £9.99 a month and get unmetered offpeak access. Peak access costs only 1p per minute. These are reasonable rates and well worth the price. I chose Lineone as my first ISP when i first starting accessing the internet about 3 years ago (*sniff* nostalgia) and at the time was on a pay as you go local call rates service and had completely trouble free access with them.
