I wanted to link two of my homes computers so I could play games on a Local Area Network. I know a good bit about computers so I didn't think networking would be too hard. I was wrong. I decided to purchase 2 of these cards and a hub along with loads of cables. In total I spent a good 150 pounds. ...one of these with a Linksys WAG 200G router as a kit. The router took 3 weeks and lots of email with India before it worked. Having finally got it up and running I installed the WMP54G in my extra PC, guess what? Despite careful set up, (CD software first ) and 2 hours on the phone to Mumbai ,it will not associate with the linksys router!! I assumed that 2 pieces of kit in the same box from the same manufacturer would interface seamlessly. How naive ...
...india, replies take at least a week and are ineffectual. However I will persist just to be a nuisance, (its my spare PC and not urgent). I installed a Belkin kit for a friend today and the router and wireless adapter connected first time, no messing. I even got a wireless connection to a laptop set up at the same time.
