Advantages Advantages all the elements you loved on PS3 in a game for the psp

Disadvantages Disadvantages story levels quickly finished

This was my first experience of playing on the PSP platform, and prior to playing this game I was a little dubious as to how, given the limitations of a portable console, the developers could possibly produce anything worthy of the Little Big Planet name. I'd played and enjoyed the PS3 version, and was pleasantly surprised to find that this "littler" version was surprisingly similar to its bigger brother and a better gaming experience than I thought it could possibly be. You don't have to have played the PS3 version to instantly enjoy the world of Little Big Planet. You play as "sack boy" ... more

Advantages Advantages Great story mode, loads of user-created levels, good customisation tools.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Creating isn't as good as on PS3.

I own LittleBigPlanet on PS3 and I love it, as do loads of other people. The creation mode was one of the best you could see in a game, and the story mode was very witty and fun. We all wanted more, and were excited when LittleBigPlanet PSP was announced. Unfortunately, developers of LBP PS3 weren’t developing this version, but Sony Studios Cambridge were. When it was finally released in 2009, most of us really liked it, even though it may not quite match Media Molecule’s efforts. Is it any different to the PS3 version? Although the general gameplay stays the same as the original LBP, it has ... more

    Advantages Advantages Interesting

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be completed quite quickly

The version I am reviewing is for the PSP. INFO Little Big Planet PSP is a single player game needing a minimum of 12mb memory. It is from age 7 & up. This copy was brought for me for £14.99. THE GAMES OBJECTIVE You play Sackboy, a stitched character (that looks a bit like Zippy from Rainbow) in discovering new lands (Australia, India, Switzerland, USA) and collecting objects so as to make your own game later on. PLAYING THE GAME The analog button makes you move in the direction you want and the control buttons (X, O etc) make you jump, grab etc. The arrow buttons control your facial features ... more

    Advantages Advantages Unlimited playability

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Very addicitive

The game that the PSP was made for. A mark of genius. Top Drawer. Are just three ways in which I could use to describe this game. When I first heard about Little Big Planet it was when the PS3 version was released. It quickly gained many accolades and even today it remains a lot of magazines top game for the system. For some reason however I decided to snub the game I decided it was overrated and for kids. I had no basis for this just something in my mind told me I hated the game and I had not even read a review for it. Much later I heard that there was going to be a version released for the ... more
