We have a Little Tikes slide that has been in our family for almost 15 years now. That's right I said 15 years. I purchased it way back in 1987 when my oldest son was just learning to walk. This slide is absolutely fabulous for anyone with a young toddler. It is : very cheap (£15 inToys R Us), dead quick & easy to assemble (just put together 2 nuts & bolts) very sturdy (no-one's managed to make it tip over yet!) made from durable plastic (so it lasts well), which also seems to be remarkably fade resistant suitable for use in the garden, indoors if the weather is bad or you can even put the slide end into the paddling pool for extra ...
...ones can't hurt themselves. It has scooped sides, so they can't fall off (even the more adventurous ones) and good wide steps so they can easily navigate themselves to the top. The top itself is plenty wide enough for the child to move from standing to sitting, without having to edge down the slide or have their bottom fall off the back.
