Lets get loud!

"...honest, she initially showed very little interest, instead enjoying such varied activities as sucking on her own toes, putting things in her mouth, or making a mess . As this was not small enough to fit into her mouth, and was not capable of making a mess, she showed very little interest until 18 months old, when her new fascination was noise! At this point, she discovered that while this toy was not messy or gummable, it certainly was noisy. A small, ..." Read review

AdvantagesGood quality, chunky, fun

"...easy to press even for little children. My grandson was able to press the keys down by himself as soon as we bought this for him. They are chunky enough for his fingers to press the right one and light so he doesn't have to apply much pressure. He used to chuckle away as he made it make the noise. He also likes to hit it with a wooden spoon to get the sounds that way too. It's nice to watch him play. +++ Education +++ Yes it's an educational toy. ..." Read review

Play us a tune!

AdvantagesNo batteries!

Disadvantagesermm No batteries... can't shut it up lol!

"... My eldest son had a little toy drum kit already so I couldn't give him this one as well! This little piano is made of a really strong sturdy yellow plastic, it's really tough and has taken numerous throws down the stairs over the years, the little keys are brightly coloured in green, blue, red and orange and once pressed they hit the little coloured metal key on top to make a ting sound. The metal keys are housed on a sturdy white plastic block ..." Read review

For your budding Mozart.

AdvantagesTraditional toy. No batteries. Price okay. Noise not too intrusive. No loose pieces.

" My son had the Little Tikes Baby Tap a Tune Piano from the age of about 4 months old and he played with it until he was about 2 years old. I can't remember exactly how much I paid for it, but it is currently available on Amazon (www.amazon.co.uk) for £12.66 which I think is a really good price for a toy that will last for a significant length of time. Although my son is now 3 years old and isn't really interested in it any more, but the toy is still ..." Read review

Little tikes piano

AdvantagesSounds, music

"This is a fun little piano that uses sound, music and colour to entertain. The body of the piano is made out of a thick red plastic and i like the fact that it is made in the shape of a grand piano so even though it doesn't actually look like a real piano you get a sense that they are trying to make it look a bit authentic. Little tikes say the piano is suitable for kids aged 6 months to three years. I definitely agree that six months is a great ..." Read review

Lovely tune

DisadvantagesNone for us

"...her second birthday was this little tikes piano. It costs around £10 from argos but it was included in a music gift set that contained a drum and some rattles. It is made of durable plastic and very well mad as I have found all little tikes toys are. It has 4 keys at the front of the toy which are each a different colour blue green yellow and orange. On top of the toy are the chimes which are connected to the keys and these all have the same colours ..." Read review
