    I love my children to spend as much time as possible outside in the garden, and have several good outdoor toys. This summer I decided to add to the collection by purchasing a playhouse for my nearly 2-year-old son. Every morning when we take his older brother to school he makes straight for the little tikes playhouse in the playground and makes his feelings known when I try to extricate him!     When I was knee high to a grasshopper I used to have a wonderful play house at the end of my garden, made very skillfully by my Grandfather for me it had everything including a secret back room buried in the bushes. I used to have hours of fun hiding out in my secret house at the bottom of the garden so when I was reminded of this when in the Doctors surgery (They had a play house for children there) I thought I must get one for my children.     Little Tikes are a well known American manufacturer of children's toys for indoor and out. This particular item is a small cottage (1.27m x 1.14m x1.31m) with 3 shuttered windows, a front door, a sink and hob, phone and a small corner table. This cottage has been a staple toy in our garden for the past three years, I say in our garden but actually in that time we have had three different gardens, and this house has made the two moves with us.     Little Tikes an American company was founded in 1970, in 2006 it became part of MGA entertainment group which includes other toy manufacturers. Little tikes make many childrens toys which are suitable for both home and child care settings. Working in a school we have several little tikes’ product’s, one is the Little Tikes country cottage Childrens Playhouse that is shown here.     A little house to play in. When we visited Mead open farm Adrian played in their play area one of the toys he liked was a playhouse. It was the country cottage made by little tikes costs £159 including delivery from the little tikes web site. This playhouse would be suitable for children between the age of 2 to maybe 6 or 7 it is not a very tall not a large playhouse so I think older children would be too big for it.     Little Tikes make lots of good plastic toys. This pink playhouse is one of many playhouses that they make. I supervise play in this outdoor house most days at the moment. This house is suitable for 2 to 7 year olds. The house is a really good solid plastic. Although it is this house can be moved by adults children can not knock it over . 2 adults can move this house to change the position in the garden. This playhouse can be cleaned with hot soapy water. This house is a pretty pink with a blue grey roof.     this little play house is designed for children aged 2 plus but is a bit on the small size so i think it will only do untill they are about seven years old which isnt bad realy concidering i only paid £130 for it which is relatively cheap compared to the price of other play houses. The house arrived unassembled and takes two people to put it together but it is quite easy to do and wot take longer than 30 minutes.     Disadvantages Disadvantages The bright colours don't blend in with the garden - they toy phone regularly goes missing also.

    We have had our country cottage for a few years now and it's been a real asset to our garden. It is robust, has been climbed on and left out in all weathers - so from -10 degrees up to 30. It has faded ever so slightly in the sun, but you'd only notice if you were looking specifically for it. It is easy to clean - can be hosed down, or we give the kids a bucket of water and scrubbing brush and it turns into a game in its own right! Fantastic for imaginative, role-playing games.     Advantages Advantages It is fun to play with. It is exciting because you can do different things with it.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages It is quite small. You could hurt yourself in it because of the size (depending on what your doing

    I enjoy playing around with stuff with other people. My brother and sister always play around with me in the garden and we always have fun. Even if it is on the floor playing a board game or on our bikes having a race. I think that what ever you do you can have fun even if you are on your own. I think that Little Tikes Country Cottage is very fun to play with because you can make different characters up and pretend you are a chef making food. It is very good value becuase when you are bored in my opinion i always think of it. I think that it is a good product so I would recomend it to any ... more
