I have had severl stock account for anumber of years now which up to about 6 months ago operated very well but very sadly now they don't action instructions, fail to take up rights and take weeks (if they answer at all) to respond to secure emails. I have sent numerous request and follow up emails but all to no avail. Yet up to the credit crunch I had no complaints. ...add to the above opinion, Lloyds TSB Stockbrokers offer a reduced rate of commission if you join their Active Investor service for a small annual fee. The commission rate is 0.75% minimum £18.50.
