The quote I had from them just over twelve months ago for contents insurance was incredibly competitive and beat all the others I had found hands down. My Bank is Lloyds TSB and like a lot of people I have a debit card and a cash point machine card. I have used this cash point card hundreds of times over the years and no problem. Like everyone I have heard of hole in the wall machines being marked so that they can copy your card and take money out. I've only had two claims with them in nearly 6 years, and both have been a nightmare. In both cases, they have taken comparative 'quotes' from high street suppliers - fair enough - except for two factors. One is the level of 'discount' between the two companies in each case, which makes their claims system a 'closed shop', forcing the customer to use that supplier or accept a pitiful settlement which bears no relation whatsoever to the original value ...

My renewal notice for buildings and contents with screentrade worked out at £104.49, which included a claim for flood damage. I have been with Lloyds TSB literally all my life, they've always seemed to be a good bank to me, they won't lend me money as it is as I've never had credit and have been a student and never had a full time job, which is good, alot of banks don't care and will give money out to anyone regardless of whether they can pay it back or not, but I've never had this with Lloyds, the ony thing with them is the charges they put on your account for an unplanned ...
...on when I was at college gettign EMA, it gives you a Visa Electron card which means you can spend only whats in the account, but can use it at cash points and in many many shops. So, in colclusion, yes lloyds tsb is a good reputable bank!! :-) ...

I have been with Lloyds TSB for 3 years now, ever since I convinced my stupid (now ex) boyfriend that insurance with your mortgage lender is not going to be the cheapest you can get!! When I called them about this it took three phone calls to them to get this explained as the first two times I was on hold for over 30 minutes. We have been joined with lloydstsb bank for some while now, and was offered the home insurance policy. Lloydstsb bank was very helpful and recommended their home contents policy. The one we have is good value it covers the contentsup to £50,000 with excess £50, valuables upto £10,000, office equipment,lock replacement,freezer contents and money & credit cards upto £300 you can add cycles for a little extra. Claimed for slates blown off the roof. Call went straight through, was agreed on the spot and the money paid straight into my bank account. Delighted with this quality of service.
