Advantages: A practical compromise to having speakers everywhere. Disadvantages: Not as good as true surround sound.
These speakers, although not quite as good as true 5.1 surround sound, are great quality. But true 5.1 all around, would mean a high budget, wires running everywhere and speakers shoved anywhere they'll fit. This is definatley the next best thing, a true practical compromise. The sound range is clear and crisp, and is great for almost any environment. Unlike my old sound system, the bass is very powerful when turned up. Capable of demolishing a few ... ...built too. Mine is used everyday, and I haven't noticed any fade in the sound. The price is a lot more than some similar systems, but you really do get what you pay for. Mine is sitting comfortably on the shelf below my tv, and is perfect if you don't have tons of space. Oh, and of course, it looks fantastic ! ...
