Advantages: Cordless, laser, buttons, stylish Disadvantages: Buttons not 100% customisable, 3rd mouse-button tricky to press
The Logitech MX 610 is perhaps the best mouse there is before you plough into the world of gaming mouses - but unless you're a gamer there is no need to cross this border, and the MX 610 is the last stop before the crossing. As a gaming mouse it is consummate - it has good tracking accuracy, a 4-directional scroll wheel and Email/IM buttons that flash when you're receiving a message outside of your game; but these are features that are really designed ... ...the MX 610 feels great. Logitech have somehow realised what the perfect shape for a mouse is. The side edge is grafted out so that the ball of your palm fits snugly into it, letting your fingers rest naturally across the two main mouse-buttons. ...something exciting happens. Well Logitech have definitely evolved in their world of mouse making...
This mouse has a fantastic laser sensor range of up to 30 feet, and longer battery life than most cordless mice - as i should know - because i had one before and the battery on it was purely ridiculous -so rubbish that after charging, the battery would be on a low level within a day. Advantages: Brilliant ergonomic design with several useful additional buttons Disadvantages: Buggy drivers and extra features only compatible with certain software
I originally picked out this mouse for its brilliant ergonomic design with a good weight. Those curves feel as sexy as they look, although those with very short fingers may be well advised to try it out first.
KEY FEATURES:
* Buttons: Scrolling tilt wheel, back & forward, volume controls, email, IM
* Connectivity Technology: Wireless - RF
* Wireless Receiver: USB / PS/2 wireless receiver
* Movement Detection Technology: Laser
* Battery: 2 x ... ...a myriad of plus points, particularly its precision laser sensitivity and a battery life far in excess of its optical counterparts. It runs off 2AA's which it claims will last up to 6 months. Expect 3 in regular use. It is able to prolong battery life by switching mouse on and off automatically with your PC. It also provides a useful warning light when the batteries are running low and its software will allow you to check their status at any time.
