5 Stars This Mouse doesn't need a tail! Review with images 02/12/2011

Advantages Advantages Easy to Install. Wireless. Nice Design. Well Built and Very Responsive

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None for me!

Introduction Over the past couple of months I've found myself becoming increasingly frustrated by the mass of wires behind my desktop PC and even more so when recently I managed to get them tangled up in one another in something that resembled my very own Spaghetti Junction. I'd always fancied the concept of a wireless mouse but had never got round to buying one figuring that they'd probably be unresponsive and a nightmare to install so instead I plodded on with the wired mouse that was supplied with my PC when I bought it and kept the idea of a wireless mouse lingering around my subconscious ... more

Advantages Advantages wireless with more freedom, responsive, comfortable.

Disadvantages Disadvantages more expensive than a wired mouse.

In November 2009 I bought a Logitech M305 wireless mouse, which cost £19.99 at Currys. General information Logitech was founded in 1981 in Switzerland and is a world leader in mice. The M305 wireless mouse is designed for use with laptops and is very comfortable in the hand. It looks the same as the picture you can see on ciao website i.e. grey colour with black feature. However if you visit Logitech’s website you can see it’s available in 7 colours. I would describe the size as standard for a laptop mouse. It has a two-button design with a single scroll wheel in-between. However the palm rest ... more

Advantages Advantages The dongle can stay in the PC and you don't need a mouse mat. Lovely bright colours!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can slide off things

As I had been using my boyfriend’s wireless mouse for the last six months after mine broke, he finally cracked and demanded it back. Thus began my search for a new wireless mouse that met my exacting standards. My boyfriend’s mouse is the Microsoft 4000, which is a great mouse, apart from one thing: the dongle that slots into the USB port. It’s too big, almost the length of the mouse, and when it’s accidentally knocked, it takes about 10 seconds for it to go back to normal, which when you have an attention span the length of mine, that does become a problem! I’d seen some mice that had a tiny ... more

    Advantages Advantages simple to use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages a little pricey

I have had the Logitech M305 wireless mouse for around 6 months now so I think it is about time I for me to write about my thoughts on it. When I first had my laptop, it took me a while to get used to using the integrated mouse pad, as opposed to a traditional mouse, but after a few weeks, I really grew to like the mouse pad, and actually preferred using it. However I did find that after long periods of using the pad, it would make my fingers sore, and so I decided to get a mouse for occasional use, and then around 6 months ago, I spotted the Logitech wireless mouse on sale, and decided to buy ... more

Advantages Advantages Tough, weighty, good grip, responsive, very easy to use, good battery life, symmetrical design

Disadvantages Disadvantages Could retail slightly cheaper, given its size and very basic functions

Personally I can't stand using touchpads on laptops, and have always preferred using a mouse. I've been through a few which have been either too light to the touch or too large to use comfortably, but the M305 offers a great mix of small size and chunky old weight, which is why I've stuck to it for the past year with no problems at all. The mouse is really very responsive at my usual high pointer speed, and because it has some weight to it, it feels much nicer to use than many others I've had over the years. Its symmetric design makes this a great mouse for a household of mixed lefties and ... more

Advantages Advantages Super small USB, many color options, smooth scroll wheel, responsive clicking, contoured nicely

Disadvantages Disadvantages occasional blips of nonfunctionality, very very slightly too large for me

The Logitech M305 model Wireless mouse is one of the better mouses on the market, at least with my experience. The mouse is properly contoured, giving the user a very easy grip on it while using it. I also appreciated how many color and graphic options there were for the shell of the mouse, and the buttons and scroll wheel are responsive and smooth. However the most amazing feature of this mouse is the microscopic USB node. As you can see in the picture, the actual drive part of the USB connector is larger than how much it protrudes out the side of your computer. I barely ever notice it even ... more

    Advantages Advantages Easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battery life is only 2-3 month

I don't typically write product reviews; however, I was compelled to write one for this particular mouse. I purchased my wireless Logitech mouse about 3 years ago. Since that time, it has been dropped on the floor, no less than 30 times. From carpet to hardwood flooring to tile flooring. It has bounced across the room multiple times. My 13 year old son has the same mouse and needless to say, his has bounced quite a few times as well. Every time I am quite sure that with the force of hit, this mouse will break. And every single time I have been proven wrong. Even when it hits so hard that the ... more

Advantages Advantages Size, feel and responsiveness

Disadvantages Disadvantages Nano-receiver can get lost

The Logitech M305 is yet another above par product keeping the Logitech at the top of the pile. The M305 is a compact wireless mouse designed to be used with notebooks. Installation didn’t take me more than 2 minutes. Simple pop in 1 AA battery and plug the nano-receiver into an available USB slot and you are done. As a matter of fact the only criticism if you can call it that is the fact that the receiver is so small you could easily forget about it or misplace it somewhere. That’s not really a flaw but thought I’d mention it for those forgetful people out there. In all honesty this is the ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages may feel to small for some

i though the the battery life of this mouse is amazing i really dont know how they do it. i use my computer everyday of the week and i have had mouses which have only lasted a week before you have to replace 2 batteries where as this mouse only needs one battery and then it lasts about three weeks. this is a "plug in and play" mouse as soon as you plug it in the drivers are installed automatically and then its ready to use. this mouse doesnt have those frustrating side buttons which continously get pressed by accident. there is a led light which is green when you first turn the mouse on to say ... more
