Crank Up The Volume!

AdvantagesRich/deep sound quality, relatively cheap, simple set up

DisadvantagesRather chunky, durable, sound quality can suffer with tone adjustment

"...to tell you about the Logitech X140 which shows that great music shouldn’t have to come at a price. These gems were bought from PC World around 4 years ago for about £40, however, nowadays, they can be picked up for a fraction of the price. A lot of online stores seem to sell them at between £15-£20, which is a real bargain. ==Setting Up== Setting up is a very simple process; as with all speakers, these work from a simple ‘plug ‘n’ go’ regime, ..." Good sound for a very Low Price

Advantagesgood sound, very cheap

DisadvantagesKind of big

"On first purchasing these speakers, I was a little unsure what to expect due to the price I was paying (£15 from Play.com). I knew, by the fact they were made by Logitech, that they wouldn't be your usually cheap rubbish, and so I decided to click pay, and pay. On arrival, I couldn't wait to get the box open... with my first concern being... "Wow their big". First sights were not a problem, as it was mainly the sound I bought them for... which ..." Logitech X 140 speakers are the ultimate budget stereo set

AdvantagesBudget price, solid build, headphone socket and tone dial, easy to set up

DisadvantagesRequires software to allow audio tweaking to sound any good

"The Logitech X 140s are by no means an audiophile's dream. In fact, when turning them on for the first time from my laptop, the highs sounded tinny, the bass sounded weak, and overall my music was relayed as horribly shallow. Although I was impressed by how sturdy they feel, how sizeable they are and how inexpensive they were, I was let down by my switch from my old £15 Mikomi 2.1 set and was planning on sending them back. However, they sounded a ..." Read review

great speakers!

Advantagesgreat sound quality, cheap, very loud with no distortion

Disadvantagesnone!

"I have had my Logitech X140 speakers for almost a year now and I am very impressed with their performance. They have a 5 watt total output and overall the sound quality is excellent. They are mains powered and the speakers are linked by one primary cable which goes to the mains, and a standard 3.5mm auxillary cable which can go straight into any device with a standard headphone socket: laptop, pda, mp3 player, ipod, and various other multimedia ..." Very good Overall

AdvantagesVery good sound quality

DisadvantagesNone that I know off

"Well for the money you are paying you're getting a very good sound system. These speakers have to be plugged in a power outlet and you're computer soundboard to be used. These speakers are perfect for me, I am using them for blasting music in my room. They are very easy to use, no software needed, you can get them working very easily. I would recommend these speakers to a friend because of the quality for price. There is obviously better speakers ..." Read review
