Best Toy a Traveller Can Have

Advantages: Small, light, great sound, well built, look good, extremely portable!
Disadvantages: Strange volume issue, remote

It's not often you see a set of portable speakers that churn out such a good sound without having the word "Bose" written somewhere on them. These however, although they're not going to cause much upset to the Bose share price, sound just great. Reading other people's reviews on here I can't seem to understand what their issue is with the sound quality. Sure, the bass is a bit "thuddy" when the volume is right up, but the overall clarity of the sound ...
...listen to all genres of music, and they all sound wonderful at all but the highest volume. For portability these are fantastic. I bought them in Australia and took them backpacking around the world, they're very compact and light, and come in a nice protective zip up case. A pair of fold out feet keep them upright and allow them to be no more than an inch and a half thick when packed away. The battery life is amazing, and if you run out, simply plug ...

Logitech MM50

Advantages: built in rechargable battery
Disadvantages: no computer docking connection

I first saw this product in Comet while testing for no real reason my ipod in all the different speakers. Most of them i personally though were not very good, poor quality and mostly lacking in bass. (Used to good quality sound through bose i was not impressed by most). However once i docked my ipod onto this product i was rather supprised that it sounded pretty dam good (plus had a 3D widening setting making the speaker sound 2 feet longer than ...
...nearly all the other in the sound quality field right up to the 269 pound mark with bose and the oputragously huge apple speaker. When i realised that this product not only sounded great but also had a built in battery lasting 10 hours. The product was pricey at 99pounds however was i thought well worth the money. The design is contemporary and is available in both black and white and is less than 3.5cm deep with bulit in strong swivel legs to stand ...

Small but beautifully formed.

Advantages: Design, finish, portability.
Disadvantages: Poor sound quality for the price.

...available and thought that the Logitech mm50s ticked lots of the right boxes. I’ve had quite a few Logitech products over the years and always found them well put together and thoughtfully designed. The mm50 runs off mains power or inbuilt rechargeable batteries (for 10 hours according to the specifications). My iPod Nano would neatly dock in the centre between the speakers making the whole assembly very portable. I’d seen enough and purchased a ...
...though I’m confident all my comments would be equally true of the black product. When the parcel arrived it was a bit smaller than I expected, and when I unpacked the mm50 I was struck by how much smaller it is in real life than it looks in the photos. In fact it is 325mm wide x 100mm high x 35mm deep. It was hard to image that such a small box would generate much bass sound. Further inspection revealed first class materials and finish. The outside ...

Logitech mm50

Advantages: Rechargable Battery, Portability
Disadvantages: Remote, Distortion at high volumes

Sound quality is very good for speakers at this price point. The rechargable battery also allows the user to listen to their iPod everywhere in the house. When bought the cost around £45 on Amazon which is a price I have been unable to beat anywhere. The remote included with the Speakers is dissapointing as you have to be positioned directly in front of them with no obstructions or it will not work. The 3D sound option works well for some music ...

Great sounding unit for the money

Advantages: sound quality, rechargable battery
Disadvantages: new ipod models may not fit snuggly and wobble

...fortune but this MM50 from Logitech certainly delivers on sound. Obviously it is perhaps not as rich as a Bose unit but it is not as tinny as most units and gives a very pleasing quality of sound. It comes with a built in rechargable battery that lasts for several hours and although it may not seem like a feature you would use you may surprised how handy it is. You can take it into outside during a BBQ or if you fancy listening to a podcast in bed ...
...a socket. On the look and feel the unit has a handy remote control with basic volume and track skip functions. There are four buttons on the top of the unit which are volume up and down, the power button (which glows a cool blue colour) and a bass boost button. I dont really use the bass boost as the sounds is great without it. The only downside is that it is universal for all ipods so a nano can wobble a little when docked ie. it is held in place ...

I am very happy with these speakers and think they are a great investment for any ipod owner. I am satisfied with the sound quality and like how the speakers look. mine usually get taken all over the place with me so they have had quite a bit of wear and tear but still look nearly new. Due to the long lasting battery life they were a pleasure to own over summer and spent many a day booming tunes out. I play a lot of trance & hardhouse & i am very ...
...they are very reasonably priced for what they are. The remote control is very useful but i like the fact that you can operate your ipod manually as well. i have had no faults or issues with my speakers to date and they get used every day for most of the day and havent shown any signs of problems yet. i think this is a fantastic product and by far they are the best ipod speakers i have come across to date and several friends have also invested because ...
