Review of Lonely Planet Eastern Europe - Lonely Planet

The lonely planet book of Eastern Europe is big, but for the sheer amount of information it contains it has to be. I used it for Croatia,Slovenia,Hungary,Poland,Slovakia and the Czech Republic and for these countries it was certainly helpful. The brief country history makes for a good read on long train journeys and the maps proved indispensable when arriving late at night when the tourist information office was closed.
