'Which uni do you go to then...?' 'Loughborough...' 'Do sports do you...?' The standard response to someone finding out. Its pretty much the life and soul of loughborough or lufbra as its become. If you play sport its great..... if you're very very good at your sport its absolutely amazing. For a start you will automatically have an attractive fellow student as a boy/girlfriend. This goes without saying. There is another fact that the ratio boys:girls is roughly 60:40 but on some nights in the union and town it can seem 80:20. Loughborough University has a lot to offer its students, than purely sport. Yeah okay that's what it's known for but as a non-sporty person, I felt that there was no pressure to join in. If you wanted to participate there are a wide range of sports teams to join - for all abilities, and not just the elite. Living on campus means you don't have to get up early for lectures! In some halls your lecture halls can literally be around the corner. he atmosphere is really friendly and its nice to study in a more rural environment. Loughborough University. Plenty to be said. It has a proud sporting tradition and it is something that will be constantly rubbed in your face on this less than friendly, unacademic centre of education. It's emphasis is on play rather than hard work, this can be made clear by the fact that accomodation is a rip-off, shop items are a rip-off and yet the alcohol is dirt-cheap. This is great on the occasions that you want to get very very intoxicated!! The town is quite small and lacking in shopping facilities, but there are some nice little bars littered around.
