Disadvantages: The glass bottles have been replaced with boring plastic ones :-(

Disadvantages: Some may not like the taste of the original but then again you have the orange and lemon flavours

Lucozade Origional in my opinion is the best out of all the Lucozades. (I don't actually like any of the others personally!!) Do you remember when these came in the old 'bobbly' clear glass bottle, with orange cellophane?? I do!! It's the only thing I really remember about being ill as a child. ...However, in case you care, Lucozade tastes very sweet - unnaturally so, and the flavour isn't like anything'real'. This just screams 'manufactured.' Consequently, it isn't a drink I would chose for the pleasure of drinking. Given the effects of the sugar rush, I have no doubt that you could indeed use Lucozade to boost your performance with physical activity, however, I don't think this is a clever thing to do long term. It was seen as somewhat medicinal – “aids recovery” was its tag line – rather than its present image as another sports drink. ...the first time I had Lucozade very well. I was 7 years old, had been in bed for a week and not eaten for the same amount of time. In short, I was ill. Now I had no energy, due to fighting off my illness, and not eating, and my Dad went and got me some lucozade. It was the original flavour, and I remember loving it! ...well-stocked vending fridge we had Lucozade original, and oh, yeah lots more Lucozade original. Well the choices were there in front of me, so I opted for the, yes you guessed it, Lucozade original. Lucozade tries very hard to sound like something scientific, but it isn’t. It is just a load of glucose and vegetable extracts mixed in a big barrel with some orange flavouring and hey presto, it’s served. Whilst my description of the drink may be somewhat crude, it is basically what goes into it.
