A Novel with a Bit of an Identity Crisis
Review of Lucy Talk - Fiona Walker by Pmshack99

Advantages: a good idea, amusing in parts
Disadvantages: the good idea didn't work for many reasons

...one viewpoint - that of Lucy Gordon, who lives in a village in Berkshire with her two friends Bella and Jane. In theory, she is the stereotypical chick-lit heroine - in other words: *lives with her friends *hates her job (she works in the marketing department of widgetex computers) *she is in possession of a family of eccentrics *has an ongoing reluctant flirtation with the office lothario *has no idea the guy next door has a raging ... ►A nearly new novel notion!
Review of Lucy Talk - Fiona Walker by ASIL1508

Advantages: It doesn't tax the ole grey matter.
Disadvantages: Predictability might be a prob?

...in at the life of Lucy Gordon. But as she's telling the story [or rather she's letting us look at her mail, I'm guessing she doesn't mind?] Lucy Gordon - Scatty but bordering on damn right thick, in a loveable way of course. Sweet but bordering on being just too damn sickly. With a Slave Driver for a boss [well, we've all got one of those] that's the bane of her life. A family so dysfunctional they make the Simpsons look like the Waltons [her ... Read review

Jucy Lucy Sucks
Review of Lucy Talk - Fiona Walker by Looby5

Advantages: Easy Read
Disadvantages: No all that good

...books I picked up was Lucy Talk, by Fiona Walker, which is the subject of this review. I knew from the back cover, and I suppose the title that this was a ‘chick lit’ style book. Although I keep professing not to like this genre very much I do seem to keep buying them, and reviewing them on Ciao for that matter. Anyway, Fiona Walkers sixth novel is an unusually structured affair, in so much as it comprises only of (fictional) e-mails, notes ... Read review

Happy Endings
Review of Lucy Talk - Fiona Walker by Stick

Advantages: Great read
Disadvantages: None

Lucy Gordon is 24 years of age who lives in Burr Cottage in Berkshire with her two friends Bella and Jane. Her friend Mo also lived there however she moved out to see the world. Lucy keeps in touch through e-mail most days although she has never replied to one throughout the whole book. Which will become apparent why at the end. Lucy works for a company called Widgetex Computers, in the Marketing department. She regularly tries to impress her boss ... Read review

Lucy Talks - Insight into the world of Lucy!
Review of Lucy Talk - Fiona Walker by scarlett01

Advantages: Personal insight into life of lucy - easy to associate yourself with her situations
Disadvantages: email/note style of writing makes it a slightly disjointed read, although you get used to it

...Fiona Walker writes all about Lucy letting things go right over her head, describing her disastrous decisions in a humorous way. Yes, there is a 'happy ever after' ending, but after reading about Lucy's misdemeanour, I didn't feel it was too sickly sweet, unlike a lot of modern woman's fiction. This isn't a piece of high class literature, but its a nice read and a great way to pass some time - would make an ideal holiday read, and would definitely ... Read review

Lucy talk by fiona walker
Review of Lucy Talk - Fiona Walker by emcharl

Advantages: an easy read!
Disadvantages: not written in the same style as the other books

i have read many of Fiona Walkers books and not been able to put them down, however i felt this book was written in a different style and i didnt enjoy it as much as the others, it was an easy read, funny in places, and an ok story line but it didnt have me turning the pages waiting to see what happened next like the others :( . If i remember correctly this was the first book that Fionsa wrote which is maybe why it is different to the others.......... ... Read review
